Hybrid spherical approximation

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper a local approximation method on the sphere is presented. As interpolation scheme we consider a partition of unity method, such as the modified spherical Shepard's method, which uses zonal basis functions (ZBFs) plus spherical harmonics as ...

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Multi-Aspect Interpolation Method for SAR Complex Images of Typical Aircraft Target Using Multi-Aspect Scattering Information Complex Generative Adversarial Network

open access: yesRemote Sensing
Due to the huge differences in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) image features of the same target under different observing aspects, the demand for constructing multi-aspect SAR datasets of various typical targets is becoming increasingly urgent with the ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

FGFR Like1 drives esophageal cancer progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and notch signalling: insights from clinical data and next‐generation sequencing analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Clinical analysis reveals significant dysregulation of FGFRL1 in esophageal cancer (EC) patients. RNAi‐coupled next‐generation sequencing (NGS) and in vitro study reveal FGFRL1‐mediated EC progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and Notch pathways. Functional assays confirm its role in tumor growth, migration, and invasion.

LocalPoly interpolation: Generalizing tricubic for Cn continuity in M‐dimensional spaces

open access: yesEngineering Reports
Tricubic interpolation, originally introduced by Lekien and Marsden (Int J Numer Methods Eng. 2005; 63(3): 455–471), has been a cornerstone in the field of interpolation, providing C1 continuous interpolations within three‐dimensional spaces.

A K-Means-Based Interpolation Algorithm With Lp-Norm and Feature Weighting

open access: yesIEEE Access
The integrity of data is crucial for the majority of existing data analysis methods. However, incomplete and unbalanced datasets from the collection and organization process will affect analysis accuracy.

Spatial Interpolation of GNSS Troposphere Wet Delay by a Newly Designed Artificial Neural Network Model

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals arrive at the Earth in a nonlinear and slightly curved way due to the refraction effect caused by the troposphere. The troposphere delay of the GNSS signal consists of hydrostatic and wet parts.

KLK7 overexpression promotes an aggressive phenotype and facilitates peritoneal dissemination in colorectal cancer cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
KLK7, a tissue kallikrein‐related peptidase, is elevated in advanced colorectal cancer and associated with shorter survival. High KLK7 levels in ascites correlate with peritoneal metastasis. In mice, KLK7 overexpression increases metastasis. In vitro, KLK7 enhances cancer cell proliferation, migration, adhesion, and spheroid formation, driving ...
