Navigating new norms: a systematic review of factors for the development of effective digital tools in higher education

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
What factors make for an effective digital learning tool in Higher Education? This systematic review identifies elements of a digital tool that published examples reveal to be features of an engaging and impactful digital tool. A systematic literature search yielded 25 research papers for analysis.

The Points of Concurrence Theory in Guidobaldo del Monte’s Scenography

open access: yesDiségno, 2018
Theatrical scenography was one of the privileged applications of perspective in the Renaissance. The court theater, characteristic of those years, is structured around a frontal perspective installation developed in depth.

Equivariant K-theory of real vector spaces and real projective spaces

open access: yesTopology and its Applications, 2002
Let \(G\) be a finite group and \(V\) a real vector space provided with a linear action of \(G\). When \(V=\mathbb{R}^{8n}\) the equivariant \(K\)-theory \(K^*_G(V)\) can be described in terms of representations of \(G\) under some spinoriality conditions. One purpose of the author is to fill the gap in this result due to \textit{M. F. Atiyah} [Q.

ATP13A2 is involved in intracellular polyamine transport in lung epithelial cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Spermidine transport in lung epithelial cells involves the polyamine transporter ATP13A2. Cell proliferation is associated with the upregulation of ATP13A2. Polyamines are present in all living cells and are implicated in various crucial cellular processes such as proliferation, apoptosis and autophagy.

Linear Determination of a Camera's Intrinsic Parameters Using Two Intersecting Circles

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems, 2014
An approach using two intersecting circles is proposed as a linear approach for determining a camera's intrinsic parameters. The two intersecting coplanar circles have four intersection points in the projective plane: two real points and two circular ...

Schur Products

open access: yesScienceOpen Research, 2014
The projective representation of groups was introduced in 1904 by Issai Schur. It differs from the normal representation of groups by a twisting factor, which we call Schur function in this book and which is called sometimes normalized factor set in the ...

KLK7 overexpression promotes an aggressive phenotype and facilitates peritoneal dissemination in colorectal cancer cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
KLK7, a tissue kallikrein‐related peptidase, is elevated in advanced colorectal cancer and associated with shorter survival. High KLK7 levels in ascites correlate with peritoneal metastasis. In mice, KLK7 overexpression increases metastasis. In vitro, KLK7 enhances cancer cell proliferation, migration, adhesion, and spheroid formation, driving ...
