The cohomology ring away from 2 of configuration spaces on real projective spaces [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
Let R be a commutative ring containing 1/2. We compute the R-cohomology ring of the configuration space F(m,k) of k ordered points in the m-dimensional real projective space. The method uses the observation that the orbit configuration space of k ordered points in the m-dimensional sphere (with respect to the antipodal action) is a 2^k-fold covering of

The algebraic transfer for the real projective space

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Mathématique, 2019
Abstract A chain-level representation of the Singer transfer for any left A -module is constructed. We prove that the image of the Singer transfer Tr ⁎ R P ∞ for the infinite real projective space is a module over the image of the transfer Tr ⁎ for the sphere.

Stereotactic radiosurgery for multiple small brain metastases using gamma knife versus single‐isocenter VMAT: Normal brain dose based on lesion number and size

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose The study evaluates rapid linear accelerator (Linac) single isocenter stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) with Hyperarc for large target numbers. We compared to Gamma Knife (GK), which suffers from long treatment times and investigated causes of differences. Methods Linac SRS and GK treatment plans for patients receiving 18 Gy to the gross

Holomorphic projection and duality for domains in complex projective space [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2008
We show that the efficiency of a natural pairing between certain projectively invariant Hardy spaces on dual strongly C-linearly convex real hypersurfaces in complex projective space is measured by the norm of the corresponding Leray transform.

Geometric and dosimetric evaluation of a commercial AI auto‐contouring tool on multiple anatomical sites in CT scans

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Current radiotherapy practices rely on manual contouring of CT scans, which is time‐consuming, prone to variability, and requires highly trained experts. There is a need for more efficient and consistent contouring methods. This study evaluated the performance of the Varian Ethos AI auto‐contouring tool to assess its potential integration into

Convex cocompact actions in real projective geometry

open access: yes, 2018
We study a notion of convex cocompactness for (not necessarily irreducible) discrete subgroups of the projective general linear group acting on real projective space, and give various characterizations.

Real hypersurfaces of a complex projective space [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Australian Mathematical Society, 1986
We study real hypersurfaces M of a complex projective space and show that a condition on the derivative of the Ricci Tensor of M implies M is locally homogeneous with two or three principal curvatures.

Quantification and dosimetric impact of intra‐fractional bladder changes during CBCT‐guided online adaptive radiotherapy for pelvic cancer treatments

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose This study quantitatively evaluates bladder changes and their dosimetric impact during the on‐couch adaptive process on a commercial CBCT‐based online adaptive radiotherapy (CT‐gART) platform. Methods Data from 183 fractions of ten patients receiving online ART for pelvic cancers were analyzed retrospectively.

Multi-convex sets in real projective spaces and their duality [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2010
We study intersections of projective convex sets in the sense of Steinitz. In a projective space, an intersection of a nonempty family of convex sets splits into multiple connected components each of which is a convex set. Hence, such an intersection is called a multi-convex set.
