Polynomials with Real Zeros and Compatible Sequences

open access: yesThe Electronic Journal of Combinatorics, 2012
In this paper, we study polynomials with only real zeros based on the method of compatible zeros. We obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for the compatible property of two polynomials whose leading coefficients have opposite sign. As applications, we partially answer a question proposed by M. Chudnovsky and P. Seymour in the recent publication [

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Prediction Model of Interval Grey Numbers with a Real Parameter and Its Application

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
Grey prediction models have become common methods which are widely employed to solve the problems with “small examples and poor information.” However, modeling objects of existing grey prediction models are limited to the homogenous data sequences which ...

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

RVFL-LQP: RVFL-Based Link Quality Prediction of Wireless Sensor Networks in Smart Grid

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
In the application of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) to smart grid, real-time and accurate wireless link quality prediction (LQP) is important to determine which link is reliable enough to undertake the communication task.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...
