Spatio-Temporal Pruning for Training Ultra-Low-Latency Spiking Neural Networks in Remote Sensing Scene Classification

open access: yesRemote Sensing
In remote sensing scene classification (RSSC), restrictions on real-time processing on power consumption, performance, and resources necessitate the compression of neural networks.

Battery Degradation in Electric and Hybrid Electric Vehicles: A Survey Study

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
The lithium-ion batteries used in electric vehicles have a shorter lifespan than other vehicle components, and the degradation mechanism inside these batteries reduces their life even more. Battery degradation is considered a significant issue in battery

Real-time Coherence Holography

open access: yesOptics Express, 2009
Coherence holography capable of real-time recording and reconstruction is proposed and experimentally demonstrated with a generic Leith-type coherence hologram. The coherence hologram is optically generated in real-time using a Mach-Zehnder interferometer and reconstructed using a Sagnac radial shearing interferometer.

Real-Time Camera Operator Segmentation with YOLOv8 in Football Video Broadcasts

open access: yesAI
Using instance segmentation and video inpainting provides a significant leap in real-time football video broadcast enhancements by removing potential visual distractions, such as an occasional person or another object accidentally occupying the frame ...

Real-Time Action

open access: yesDAIMI Report Series, 1991
The behaviour of a real-time system depends on the scheduler used. The order in which tasks are executed depends on its characteristics such as ready time, deadline etc. We describe a language in which the readiness and deadlines can be specified. A scheduling policy using the task characteristics can be defined.

Teaching in Real Time [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
It’s Thursday afternoon in a Day Hall economics class and the air is swimming with calculus – lambdas, constants, derivatives. Students banter the terms around as they work through problems by hand, making sure they understand the theory before moving to
