A review on drones controlled in real-time [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dynamics and Control, 2021
AbstractThis paper presents related literature review on drones or unmanned aerial vehicles that are controlled in real-time. Systems in real-time control create more deterministic response such that tasks are guaranteed to be completed within a specified time.

Real-time Index Concurrency Control [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, 1996
Real time database systems are expected to rely heavily on indexes to speed up data access and thereby help more transactions meet their deadlines. Accordingly, high performance index concurrency control (ICC) protocols are required to prevent contention for the index from becoming a bottleneck.

A real-time streaming memory controller [PDF]

open access: yesDesign, Automation and Test in Europe, 2005
With ever more complex multimedia applications used in mobile devices, the realization of high performance, flexibility and programmability requirements depends largely on the design of a system communication infrastructure. This infrastructure, often a network, should provide a large variety of services for the transportation of streamed data. When an

Real time vergence control

open access: yesProceedings CVPR '89: IEEE Computer Society Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 2003
Binocular robots whose camera can be independently directed require some mechanism for aiming both cameras at the same world point. The authors describe a mechanism for verging the cameras of the Rochester Robot in real time. The mechanism consists of a discrete control loop driven by an algorithm that estimates a single disparity from the two cameras.

Real-Time Control for the EHU Stellarator

open access: yesSymmetry, 2019
At present, two main magnetic confinement fusion devices exist: tokamaks and stellarators. Moreover, stellarators have been demonstrated to be a good alternative to tokamaks, due to their ability to operate in continuous mode, which eventually translates into a higher commercial profitability.

Controling an isolated oversaturated intersection in real time. Fuzzy logic approach / Управление изолированным загруженным перекрестком в реальном времени. Метод фаззи-логика / Upravljanje izolovanom prezasićenom raskrsnicom u realnom vremenu (pristup fazi logikom) [PDF]

open access: yesVojnotehnički Glasnik, 2017
In this paper we consider a problem of controlling an oversaturated intersection in real time. We developed a mathematical model for solving the problem, based on fuzzy logic.

Characterization of synergistic antibacterial effect of silver nanoparticles and ebselen

open access: yesArtificial Cells, Nanomedicine, and Biotechnology, 2019
The emerging and spreading of multi-drug resistant (MDR) bacteria have been becoming one of the most severe threats to human health. Enhancing oxidative stress as mimicking immune system was considered as a potential strategy to fight against infection ...

A New Adaptive and Self Organizing Fuzzy Policy to Enhance the Real Time Control Performance [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems, 2014
In this paper, a temperature control in real time control process was presented using several control algorithms. A quantitative comparison based on the real power consumption and (the precision and the robustness) of these controllers during the same ...

The Impact of Blue‐Green Infrastructure and Urban Area Densification on the Performance of Real‐Time Control of Sewer Networks

open access: yesWater Resources Research, 2023
Urban areas are constantly developing and thereby affect the local water cycle. Real‐time control (RTC) strategies are used to operate urban drainage systems optimally during these transitions.

Predictability for real-time command and control [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings 15th International Parallel and Distributed Processing Symposium. IPDPS 2001, 2005
This paper describes a new and different paradigm for real-time command and control that we show can provide a static, polynomial-time scheduling algorithm. Current efforts in real -time scheduling have been unable to predict system performance, and use a unpredictable "dynamic" scheduling algorithm.
