Automatic Repair of Real Bugs: An Experience Report on the Defects4J Dataset [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
Defects4J is a large, peer-reviewed, structured dataset of real-world Java bugs. Each bug in Defects4J is provided with a test suite and at least one failing test case that triggers the bug. In this paper, we report on an experiment to explore the effectiveness of automatic repair on Defects4J.

Java Extensions for OMNeT++ [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
On the one side, network simulation frameworks are important tools for research and development activities to evaluate novel approaches in a time- and cost-efficient way. On the other side, Java as a highly platform-independent programming language is ideally suited for rapid prototyping in heterogeneous scenarios.

Model Checking Real Time Java Using Java PathFinder [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The Real Time Specification for Java (RTSJ) is an augmentation of Java for real time applications of various degrees of hardness. The central features of RTSJ are real time threads; user defined schedulers; asynchronous events, handlers, and control transfers; a priority inheritance based default scheduler; non-heap memory areas such as immortal and ...

ADS Performance Revisited [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Real-time measurements are important for in-depth control of manufacturing processes, which, for modern AI methods, need integration with high-level languages. In our last SSP paper we investigated the performance of a Python and a Java-JNA based approach to integrate the Beckhoff ADS protocol for real-time edge communication into an Industry 4.0 ...

Design and Implementation Aspects of a novel Java P2P Simulator with GUI [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2008
Peer-to-peer networks consist of thousands or millions of nodes that might join and leave arbitrarily. The evaluation of new protocols in real environments is many times practically impossible, especially at design and testing stages. The purpose of this paper is to describe the implementation aspects of a new Java based P2P simulator that has been ...

Java Card for PayTv Application [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2013
Smart cards are widely used along with PayTV receivers to store secret user keys and to perform security functions to prevent any unauthorized viewing of PayTV channels. Java Card technology enables programs written in the Java programming language to run on smart cards. Smart cards represent one of the smallest computing platforms in use today.
