Are There Hermeneutical Injustices in the Law? : A Realistic Reading of the Judicial Unintelligibility of Marginalized Experiences

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Direito Processual Penal, 2023
This article discusses the application of the concept of hermeneutical injustice (Miranda Fricker, 2007) in judicial contexts. It argues that the application of this concept to capture problems of judicial unintelligibility of marginalized experiences is not so clearly discernible.

Computer graphics techniques for modeling page turning

open access: yes, 2007
Turning the page is a mechanical part of the cognitive act of reading that we do literally unthinkingly. Interest in realistic book models for digital libraries and other online documents is growing.

Realistic simulation as an educacional tool for medical students

open access: yes, 2014
AIMS: Realistic simulation is part of a new possibility of teaching that encompasses not only the technical skills, but crisis management, leadership, team work, and clinical reasoning that do not reflect actual losses to the real patient.

Ferroelectric Dynamic‐Field‐Driven Nucleation and Growth Model for Predictive Materials‐To‐Circuit Co‐Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a compact dynamic‐field‐driven nucleation and growth (DFNG) model that captures ferroelectric switching behavior under arbitrary voltage waveforms. It enables extraction of time‐dependent domain wall velocity and growth dimensionality, which can then be extended to device‐level modeling.

All‐Polyimide‐Mediated Liquid Metal Assembly on Aerogels for Breathable and Robust Electronic Skins

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐polyimide‐mediated assembly strategy resolves the fundamental conflict between physiological breathability and electromechanical robustness in wearable electronics. By integrating a polyamic acid‐encapsulated liquid metal ink onto an ultralight polyimide aerogel, imidization‐induced contraction enables low‐temperature conductive activation and ...
