ON STOCHASTIC ESTIMATION OF THE RESULTS OF UNDULATORY TRANSILLUMINATION OF SOLID MATERIALS WITH A PAUCITY OF MEASUREMENTS

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений и энергетических объединенний СНГ: Энергетика, 2015
The methods of undulatory transillumination found extensive application in engineering and mining practice. They are based on utilization of the parameters of reflected and transmitted waves produced by way of affecting solid materials and formations ...

The Parallel Asynchronous Differential Evolution Method as a Tool to Analyze Synchrotron Scattering Experimental Data from Vesicular Systems*

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2016
In this work we use an Asynchronous Differential Evolution (ADE) method to estimate parameters of the Separated Form Factor (SFF) model which is used to investigate a structure of drug delivery Phospholipid Transport Nano System (PTNS) unilamellar ...

Quantum Emitters in Hexagonal Boron Nitride: Principles, Engineering and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Quantum emitters in hexagonal boron nitride have emerged as a promising candidate for quantum information science. This review examines the fundamentals of these quantum emitters, including their level structures, defect engineering, and their possible chemical structures.

Photoactivation of NV Centers in Diamond via Continuous Wave Laser Illumination of Shallow As‐Implanted Nitrogen

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates an alternative method of creating charge‐stable negatively charged nitrogen vacancy (NV−) centers close to the diamond surface without high‐temperature annealing. By illuminating nitrogen‐implanted regions with a continuous‐wave 405 nm laser, NV− centers are induced, exhibiting electron spin coherence properties suitable for ...

Prediction Limits for Poisson INAR(1) Process

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical and Fundamental Sciences, 2015
We discuss the problem of deriving an estimative prediction limit as well as a simulation-based improved prediction limit for a future realization from the stationary, first-order Poisson INAR(1) process.

Realization of a quantum walk with one and two trapped ions. [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2009
We experimentally demonstrate a quantum walk on a line in phase space using one and two trapped ions. A walk with up to 23 steps is realized by subjecting an ion to state-dependent displacement operations interleaved with quantum coin tossing operations.

Pentagonal 2D Altermagnets: Material Screening and Altermagnetic Tunneling Junction Device Application

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
From a database of 170 pentagonal 2D materials, 4 candidates exhibiting altermagnetic ordering are screened. Furthermore, the spin‐splitting and unconventional boundary states in the pentagonal 2D altermagnetic monolayer MnS2 are investigated. A MnS2‐based altermagnetic tunneling junction is designed and, through ab initio quantum transport simulations,

La loi de Pascal restreinte et ses cas particuliers; Constrained Pascal distribution and its special cases [PDF]

open access: yesTutorials in Quantitative Methods for Psychology, 2012
Pascal distribution, Pa(r, /pi), also called Negative binomial distribution, pertains to the trial number n at which the first r successes have been obtained, each trial being the realization of a Bernoulli variable with success probability /pi.
