A general rearrangement inequality à la Hardy–Littlewood
Let smooth on with for . Furthermore, let nonnegative and bounded functions on with compact support. We prove the inequality , where denotes symmetric decreasing rearrangement.

Beyond the Entropy Power Inequality, via Rearrangements [PDF]
A lower bound on the R nyi differential entropy of a sum of independent random vectors is demonstrated in terms of rearrangements. For the special case of Boltzmann-Shannon entropy, this lower bound is better than that given by the entropy power inequality.

Degree theory for 4‐dimensional asymptotically conical gradient expanding solitons
Abstract We develop a new degree theory for 4‐dimensional, asymptotically conical gradient expanding solitons. Our theory implies the existence of gradient expanding solitons that are asymptotic to any given cone over S3$S^3$ with non‐negative scalar curvature. We also obtain a similar existence result for cones whose link is diffeomorphic to S3/Γ$S^3/\

Fourier Mass Lower Bounds for Batchelor‐Regime Passive Scalars
ABSTRACT Batchelor predicted that a passive scalar ψν$\psi ^\nu$ with diffusivity ν$\nu$, advected by a smooth fluid velocity, should typically have Fourier mass distributed as |ψ̂ν|2(k)≈|k|−d$|\widehat{\psi }^\nu |^2(k) \approx |k|^{-d}$ for |k|≪ν−1/2$|k| \ll \nu ^{-1/2}$.

Rearrangement inequalities for Hermitian matrices
The Hardy-Littlewood-Pólya rearrangement inequality is considered: \[ \sum_{i=1}^na_ib_{n-i+1}\leq\sum_{i=1}^na_ib_{t_i}\leq\sum_{i=1}^na_ib_i \] for real numbers \(a_n\leq a_{n-1}\leq\cdots\leq a_1\) and \(b_n\leq b_{n-1}\leq\cdots\leq b_1\), where \(\{t_1,t_2,\dots,t_n\}\) is an arbitrary permutation of \(\{1,2,\dots,n\}\).

The EU's Strategy for Sustainability: A Landmark Turn With the European Green Deal?
ABSTRACT While the European Green Deal (EGD) has been widely recognized as a milestone in the EU's sustainability strategy, scholars disagree on the nature of the policy change it represents. Critics highlight its limited social and environmental ambitions, despite its portrayal as a “man on the moon” moment.

ABSTRACT Primary medical care has traditionally been provided by small organisations. Recent policy developments in many countries have encouraged larger practices in the hope of benefiting from increasing returns to scale, but there is little research evidence to support this.

Consequences of Talenti's inequality becoming equality
In this article, we consider the case of equality in a well known inequality for the p-Laplacian due to Giorgio Talenti. Our approach seems to be simpler than the one by Kesavan [6].

ABSTRACT In France, the Couverture Maladie Universelle Complémentaire (CMU‐C) scheme is a means‐tested, state‐financed, complementary health insurance program that fully covers healthcare. Using administrative claims data and a staggered difference‐in‐differences approach, we estimate the impact of enrollment in the program on healthcare utilization ...

Innovative Homomorphic Sorting of Environmental Data in Area Monitoring Wireless Sensor Networks
In many special cases, the data collected from wireless sensor networks are stored in encrypted form to provide the required privacy. Sorting is an essential operation on any stored data for orderly presentation and fast searching.
