Online joint localization without user interactions

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
Wi-Fi fingerprinting has been a popular indoor localization due to the widespread layout of indoor WLAN. However, the signal fluctuations in the complex environments make it difficult to maintain high accuracy localization for the received signal ...

Hybrid 3D Localization for Visible Light Communication Systems

open access: yes, 2015
In this study, we investigate hybrid utilization of angle-of-arrival (AOA) and received signal strength (RSS) information in visible light communication (VLC) systems for 3D localization.

Dial It In: Rotating RF Sensors to Enhance Radio Tomography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A radio tomographic imaging (RTI) system uses the received signal strength (RSS) measured by RF sensors in a static wireless network to localize people in the deployment area, without having them to carry or wear an electronic device.

Endothelial PDGF Signaling Dysregulation Impairs Testicular Interstitial Homeostasis in Diabetes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Testicular endothelial cells (TECs) function as central signaling hubs that coordinate interstitial homeostasis. Diabetes disrupts TEC‐derived PDGF signaling, silences the JUND‐MCL1 survival program in Leydig cells, and impairs peritubular function, leading to fibrosis and testosterone insufficiency.

Hybrid Radio-map for Noise Tolerant Wireless Indoor Localization

open access: yes, 2013
In wireless networks, radio-map based locating techniques are commonly used to cope the complex fading feature of radio signal, in which a radio-map is built by calibrating received signal strength (RSS) signatures at training locations in the offline ...

Deciphering the Evolution Pattern of Structural Variations Overlapped With Repetitive Sequence During Cattle Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The authors complement bovine pan‐SV with massive novel structural variations (SVs) identified through long‐read sequencing of 83 globally distributed cattle breeds. Repetitive sequence‐mediated SVs (rep‐SV) exhibit distinct dynamic patterns throughout cattle sub‐speciation and/or domestication processes, including uneven distribution between chr‐X and

Enhanced hybrid positioning in wireless networks II: AoA-RSS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In order to achieve higher location estimation accuracy through utilizing all the available information, in this paper we propose a hybrid localization system. We use the angle of arrival (AoA) measurement with the inherent received signal strength (RSS)

Terahertz Channel Modeling, Estimation and Localization in RIS‐Assisted Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Reconfigurable intelligent surfaces have become a recent intensive research focus. Based on practical applications, channel strategies for RIS‐assisted terahertz wireless communication systems are categorized into three different types: channel modeling, channel estimation, and channel localization.

Graph-Based Semi-Supervised Learning for Indoor Localization Using Crowdsourced Data

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2017
Indoor positioning based on the received signal strength (RSS) of the WiFi signal has become the most popular solution for indoor localization. In order to realize the rapid deployment of indoor localization systems, solutions based on crowdsourcing have
