Towards Clinical Translation of Intravoxel Incoherent Motion MRI: Acquisition and Analysis Consensus Recommendations

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) MRI allows for simultaneous assessment of tissue microcirculation (perfusion) and diffusion of water. In single‐center studies, IVIM has shown great potential for diagnosis, treatment outcome prediction, and treatment monitoring for many different diseases and organs.

Latex Serum‐Derived Supramolecular Networks Enable Toughening of Natural Rubber

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, EarlyView.
Latex‐serum addition enhances strain‐induced crystallization (SIC) toughening in natural rubber, increasing tearing strength and extending the SIC activation window. Supramolecular networks form via bifurcated hydrogen bonding between polyol components (e.g., quebrachitol) and end‐functionalized polyisoprene chains, serving as effective crystallization

A Multifrequency Seamless Dual-Link Handover Scheme Based on Beamforming for High-Speed Railway

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2023
This paper proposes a multifrequency seamless dual-link handover scheme based on beamforming for the high-speed railway (HSR) communication, i.e., when the train travels to the edge of overlapping area of the adjacent two cells, a gain beam is assigned ...

Enhancing positioning accuracy through direct position estimators based on hybrid RSS data fusion [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
International audienceIn this paper, localization based on Received Signal Strength (RSS) is investigated assuming a path loss log normal shadowing model. On the one hand, indirect RSS-based estimation schemes are investigated; these schemes are based on

UAV Air-to-Ground Channel Characterization for mmWave Systems

open access: yes, 2017
Communication at mmWave bands carries critical importance for 5G wireless networks. In this paper, we study the characterization of mmWave air-to-ground (AG) channels for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) communications.

Does vertical wind shear increase tropical cyclone rain?

open access: yesQuarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, EarlyView.
A 26‐year modern precipitation dataset is used to systematically assess tropical cyclone (TC) rainfall responses to vertical wind shear (VWS). VWS enhances rainfall volume in TCs by up to 23%, despite reducing storm intensity, revealing a trade‐off where VWS mitigates wind damage but potentially amplifies flood risk.

Hotspot Ranking Based Indoor Mapping and Mobility Analysis Using Crowdsourced Wi-Fi Signal

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
In this paper, we propose a new hotspot ranking-based indoor mapping and mobility analysis approach based on the sporadically collected crowdsourced Wi-Fi received signal strength (RSS) data. This approach aims to construct the indoor mapping, as well as

The Power Gain Difference Method Analysis

open access: yesSensors, 2020
In this paper, we propose a new approach to passively locate the 3D position of a signal source. This novel technique, called the power gain difference (PGD), is based only on measuring the received signal strength (RSS) with multiple sensors deployed in

Aerial Anchors Positioning for Reliable RSS-Based Outdoor Localization in Urban Environments

open access: yes, 2017
In this letter, the localization of terrestrial nodes when unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are used as base stations is investigated. Particularly, a novel localization scenario based on received signal strength (RSS) from terrestrial nodes is introduced.

Sectoral Evolution and Structural Transformation in Djibouti: A Multivariate and Regularized Regression Analysis Toward Achieving SDG 9

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Djibouti's economic evolution over the past two decades reveals a distinct dual structure: a steadily expanding service sector that anchors the economy and a volatile industrial sector driven by episodic, foreign‐financed infrastructure projects.
