Crustal SiO2 Content of the Emeishan Large Igneous Province and its Implications for Magma Volume and Plumbing System

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, 2021
The Permian Emeishan large igneous province (LIP) in Southwestern China is recognized as a remnant of mantle plume activity. Its crust composition has a significant bearing on understanding the magmatic plumbing system in a LIP and the volume of magmas ...

The Crustal Anisotropy of West Ordos Block and Its Geodynamic Implications

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, 2021
Based on the teleseismic records of the dense broadband seismic array, the crustal anisotropy parameters of the west Ordos block and its adjacent regions were determined with P wave receiver functions.

Receiver function summation without deconvolution [PDF]

open access: yesGeophysical Journal International, 2010
SUMMARY The separation of the structural effects below a seismic station from other effects like structures far away or from source–time functions is the fundamental problem of the receiver function technique. Two solutions of this problem have been suggested in the early days of the receiver function analysis. One is to model the complete wavefield

Mid‐mantle layering from SKS receiver functions [PDF]

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 2010
Many seismic data on mid‐mantle discontinuities are related only to subduction zones. Here we use a method that is applicable outside subduction zones. The idea is to use SKS‐to‐P converted phases that are generated in the receiver regions and can be detected in S receiver functions.

Closed form metrics to accurately model the response in general arbitrarily-coupled RC trees. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Closed form expressions are presented for the first and second moment of the impulse response for arbitrarily-coupled RC trees with multiple drivers, and used to generate accurate second order estimations of the transfer function from any driver to the ...

open access: yesDizhen xuebao, 2022

Entanglement-assisted zero-error capacity is upper-bounded by the Lovász ϑ function [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The zero-error capacity of a classical channel is expressed in terms of the independence number of some graph and its tensor powers. This quantity is hard to compute even for small graphs such as the cycle of length seven, so upper bounds such as the ...

Numerical Modeling on Ocean-Bottom Seismograph P-Wave Receiver Function to Analyze Influences of Seawater and Sedimentary Layers

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
It is challenging to apply the receiver function method to teleseisms recorded by ocean-bottom seismographs (OBSs) due to a specific working environment that differs from land stations.

open access: yesDizhen xuebao, 2022

Receiver Algorithm based on Differential Signaling for SIMO Phase Noise Channels with Common and Separate Oscillator Configurations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, a receiver algorithm consisting of differential transmission and a two-stage detection for a single-input multiple-output (SIMO) phase-noise channels is studied.
