Thousands of leprosy patients not only suffer from physical deformities, but also either have or have had hepatitis B virus (HBV) coinfection. Polymorphisms of the complement system modulate susceptibility to leprosy, but genetic susceptibility to past ...

Background Estrogens exert anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective effects in the brain mainly via estrogen receptors α (ERα) and β (ERβ). These receptors are members of the nuclear receptor superfamily of ligand-dependent transcription factors. This study

Protein Expression and Purification, 2015
The α2-macroglobulin receptor (α2MR) is a major domain of complement component 3b, which may play an important role in regulating the downstream complement system in teleosts. In order to characterize the domain thoroughly larger than currently available quantities are required.

Complement Component (3b/4b) Receptor 1 (CR1)
2013Complement Component (3b/4b) Receptor 1 (CR1) is a gene which has undergone rigorous research over the years due to its relationship with multiple diseases, different protein allotypes (giving rise to the Knops blood group system) and well-characterised genetic polymorphisms.

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.
