Nanoscopic Mapping of the Extracellular Space in Amyloid Plaque‐rich Cortex

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 1, 5 January 2026.
The extracellular space and diffusion around amyloid plaques are examined using shadow imaging and single‐particle tracking. Increased diffusivity is found near plaques, extracellular matrix alterations, and plaque core penetrability that varies with amyloid phenotype.

Efficient Early and Sustained Transduction of Human Fetal Mesencephalon Using Adeno-Associated Virus Type 2 Vectors

open access: yesCell Transplantation, 2004
The success of transplantation of human fetal mesencephalic tissue into the putamen of patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) is still limited by the poor survival of the graft. In animal models of fetal transplantation for PD, antiapoptotic agents, such

Water Parameters and Hydrodynamics in Rivers and Caves Hosting Astyanax mexicanus Populations Reveal Macro‐, Meso‐ and Microhabitat Characteristics

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 1, January 2026.
From 2009 to 2025, we have recorded the physicochemical parameters of the water and the hydrological regimes at localities hosting Astyanax mexicanus cavefish and surface fish populations in Mexico. Sampling 13 caves and 30 surface stations revealed strong signatures of the two macrohabitats, but also significant differences in specific water ...

Mesoporous Silicon with Capacity‐Limited Lithiation: A Strategy for Stable High‐Capacity Lithium‐Ion Anodes

open access: yesEnergy Technology, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
Pairing mesoporous silicon with capacity‐limited lithiation increases stability in high‐Si composite anodes. Across four lithiation degrees, porous Si suppresses crystalline Li15Si4 formation, lowers polarization, and exhibits far less irreversible thickening than bulk micro‐Si particles, as confirmed by scanning electron microscopy thickness analysis.

Une recherche interdisciplinaire en sciences sociales [PDF]

open access: yes

The Coevolution of Colour Patterns and Hindwing Shapes on a Large Phylogenetic Scale Reveals Predation‐Driven Adaptive Syndromes in Swallowtail Butterflies

open access: yesEcology Letters, Volume 29, Issue 1, January 2026.
By combining computer vision and morphometrics on museum specimens, we show that hindwing tail shape and colour patterns evolved in concert across swallowtails. Long‐tailed species display contrasted stripes and marginal spots, suggesting coevolution of deflective traits promoted by natural selection by predators.
