Some Harmonic Number Identities involving certain Reciprocals [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
Some finite series of harmonic numbers involving certain reciprocals are evaluated. Products of such reciprocals are expanded in a sum of the individual reciprocals, leading to a computer program. A list of examples is provided.

Diophantine geometry and non-abelian reciprocity laws I [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We use non-abelian fundamental groups to define a sequence of higher reciprocity maps on the adelic points of a variety over a number field satisfying certain conditions in Galois cohomology.

Nuclei‐Specific Amygdala Enlargement Is Linked to Psychiatric Comorbidities in Drug‐Resistant Focal Epilepsy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Amygdala enlargement has been the subject of controversial studies regarding its significance in terms of pathogenicity both in epilepsy and in psychiatric comorbidities such as anxiety, depression, and post‐traumatic stress disorder.

The political economy of reciprocity. A reply

open access: yesPSL Quarterly Review, 2013
The need for reciprocity clauses in tariff reductions should not distort the real picture concerning international trade. Although reciprocity clauses can help countries which follow more expansionary macroeconomic policies than their trade partners ...

Activation of SIRT1 Reduces Renal Tubular Epithelial Cells Fibrosis in Hypoxia Through SIRT1‐FoxO1‐FoxO3‐Autophagy Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
Hypoxia promotes the epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) of renal tubular epithelial cells via the SIRT1‐FoxO1‐FoxO3‐autophagy pathway, thereby resulting in the fibrosis of renal tubular epithelial cells. Activation of SIRT1 or induction of autophagy inhibits this process, alleviating hypoxia‐induced fibrosis.

Classical Reciprocity Laws [PDF]

open access: yesAsia Pacific Mathematics Newsletter, October 2014, Vol 4, No 4, pp. 5--9, 2014
Using the quadratic reciprocity law as the motivating example, we convey an understanding of classical reciprocity laws.

Trans‐Conductive Melt Pool Scaling and its Implications for Parameter Transfer in Laser Powder Bed Fusion for Metals with High Thermal Diffusivity

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Developing process parameters for the laser‐based Powder Bed Fusion of metals can be a tedious task. Based on melt pool depth, the process parameters are transferable to different laser scan speeds. For this, understanding the melt pool scaling behavior is essential, particularly for materials with high thermal diffusivity, as a change in scaling ...

Powder Metallurgy and Additive Manufacturing of High‐Nitrogen Alloyed FeCr(Si)N Stainless Steel

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The alloying element Nitrogen enhances stainless steel strength, corrosion resistance, and stabilizes austenite. This study develops austenitic FeCr(Si)N steel production via powder metallurgy. Fe20Cr and Si3N4 are hot isostatically pressed, creating an austenitic microstructure.

Structures argumentales de prédicats N Prép N. Emplois réciproques et non réciproques

open access: yesStudia Romanica Posnaniensia, 2019
The purpose of this article is to provide the lexical analysis of predicates such as face à face (‘face to face’) and côte à côte (‘side by side’), which are generally reciprocal and symmetric. Some of them are also used in an unusual
