On Lubin-Tate regulator maps and Kato's explicit reciprocity law [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
We extend the interpolation property of the Lubin-Tate regulator map from [SV24] to Artin characters and show a reciprocity law in the sense of Cherbonnier-Colmez. This allows us to provide a new proof of Kato's explicit reciprocity law for Lubin-Tate formal groups.

Adaptive event‐based asynchronous approach for containment control of Markov jump multi‐agent systems with hidden Markov models

open access: yesAsian Journal of Control, EarlyView.
Abstract This paper focuses on the issue of adaptive event‐triggered containment control for Markov jump multi‐agent systems characterized by hidden Markov jump parameters. The central objective is to design an output‐feedback controller for the Markov jump multi‐agent system by using an adaptive event‐triggered technique that not only ensures the ...

GAGA for nonreciprocal emitters: genetic algorithm gradient ascent optimization of compact magnetophotonic crystals

open access: yesNanophotonics
Fundamental limits of thermal radiation are imposed by Kirchhoff’s law, which assumes the electromagnetic reciprocity of a material or material system. Thus, breaking reciprocity can enable breaking barriers in thermal efficiency engineering.

‘Where are the adults?’: Troubling child‐activism and children's political participation

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Children's political participation is a well‐established theme in childhood studies. In this article we offer an original account of child activism that takes into account the entangled and emergent aspect of children as activists. We begin with a historical and a conceptual review, noting the importance of mid‐20th century developments such ...

Activism in the arts: Co‐researching cultural inequalities with young people during the COVID‐19 pandemic

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract This paper explores the growing influence of young people's activism in UK museums and its educational implications. It draws on a five‐year collaborative programme (2019–2023) with young people of colour (16–28) in a university museum setting, focusing on a Young Collective established to address cultural inequalities.

Explicit reciprocity laws

open access: yes, 2010
Quadratic reciprocity law was conjectured by Euler and Legendre, and proved by Gauss. Gauss made first generalizations of this relation to higher fields and derived cubic and biquadratic reciprocity laws. Eisenstein and Kummer proved similar relations for extension $/mathbb{Q}(/zeta_p, /sqrt[n]{a})$ partially.

Teacher self‐efficacy: Validating a new measurement scale to capture the elusive construct

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Teachers’ beliefs in their ability to positively impact students’ learning outcomes has become a strong indicator of teachers’ motivation and behaviour towards the instructional strategies they employ. However, measuring the broader concept of teacher self‐efficacy is still somewhat problematic as current scales are dated, have measurement ...

Do Not Stop the Loop: Driving Circular Textiles With Technology and Stakeholder Engagement

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We investigate critical factors enabling the successful implementation of circular ecosystems in the textile industry, with a focus on the interplay between technology and stakeholder engagement. A qualitative approach, involving 35 interviews with managers across 11 Italian SMEs in both B2B and B2C textile segments, was employed.
