Active End-Effector Pose Selection for Tactile Object Recognition through Monte Carlo Tree Search
This paper considers the problem of active object recognition using touch only. The focus is on adaptively selecting a sequence of wrist poses that achieves accurate recognition by enclosure grasps. It seeks to minimize the number of touches and maximize

Sequence-specific endonuclease BamHI: relaxation of sequence recognition. [PDF]
The effect of glycerol on the specificity of DNA cleavage by the restriction endonuclease BamHI has been examined. In addition to the canonical G decreases from G-A-T-C-C site, BamHI cuts DNA at several sites that we have named noncanonical BamHI.1 sites.

ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Osteosarcoma is a radioresistant tumor that may benefit from stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) for locoregional control in metastatic/recurrent disease. We report institutional practice patterns, outcomes, toxicity, and failures in osteosarcoma patients treated with SBRT.

Pathogenic Germline PALB2 and RAD50 Variants in Patients With Relapsed Ewing Sarcoma
ABSTRACT Approximately 10% of patients with Ewing sarcoma (EwS) have pathogenic germline variants. Here, we report two cases: first, a novel germline pathogenic variant in partner and localizer of BRCA2 (PALB2) in a patient with a late EwS relapse. Its impact on homologous recombination is demonstrated, and breast cancer risk is discussed.

Towards the sequence-specific multivalent molecular recognition of cyclodextrin oligomers
Sequence-specific multivalent molecular recognition has been recognized to play a major role in biological processes. Furthermore, sequence-specific recognition motifs have been used in various artificial systems in the last years, e.g., to emulate ...

Unconstrained Scene Text and Video Text Recognition for Arabic Script
Building robust recognizers for Arabic has always been challenging. We demonstrate the effectiveness of an end-to-end trainable CNN-RNN hybrid architecture in recognizing Arabic text in videos and natural scenes.
