Self-Reconfiguring Microservices [PDF]
Microservices is an emerging paradigm for the development of distributed systems that, originating from Service-Oriented Architecture , focuses on the small dimension, the loose coupling, and the dynamic topology of services. Microservices are particularly appropriate for the development of distributed systems in the Cloud.

Here, two types of electronic components are presented: a strain sensor and a stable resistor. Electrofluids properties are tuned to match these behaviors by selecting the type of filler. We show that the morphology of the filler together with its oxygen content are the key parameters to create electrical and mechanical networks with distinct responses.

The power loss in the arrays due to non-uniform irradiances in the site is the most common scenario observed in a PV system. The irradiance non-uniformity occurs due to obstacles between actual irradiance and modules caused by dust and shadow of clouds ...

Liquid metal additives are processed in elastomer host resulting in highly conductive and stretchable composites. The material functions as a piezoresistive sensor with minimal drift, low stiffness, and enhanced operating range. The film can replace wires to charge a mobile phone at ∼350% strain and monitors bodily motion in real‐time via a portable ...

Reconfigurable Processing Units vs. Reconfigurable Interconnects
The question we proposed to explore with the seminar participants is whether the dynamic reconfigurable computing community is paying sufficient attention to the subject of dynamic reconfigurable SoC interconnects. By SoC interconnect, we refer to architecture- or system-level building blocks such as on-chip buses, crossbars, add-drop rings or meshed ...

Magnetic Droplet Manipulation on Open Surfaces
Recent advances in the manipulation of magnetic droplets demonstrate various manipulations on open surfaces, including transport, splitting, merging, and force‐controlled motion, enabled by magnetic particles and external fields. ABSTRACT Manipulation of liquids on a smaller scale enables applications in various fields, particularly diagnostics and ...
