Duplicate record identification in bibliographic databases
Information Systems, 1987Abstract This study presents the applicability of an automatically generated code for use in duplicate detection in bibliographic databases. It is shown that the methods generate a large percentage of unique codes, and that the code is short enough to be useful. The code would prove to be particularly useful in identifying duplicates when records are

An adaptive algorithm for detection of duplicate records
TENCON 2003. Conference on Convergent Technologies for Asia-Pacific Region, 2004A new approach for "detection of duplicate records" is attempted. The paper combines ideas from number theory and algorithmics to evolve a new method to detect duplicate records. It is shown that the method could prove to be of sufficient gain over the prevalent brute force approaches.

Thermoremanent Duplication of Magnetic Tape Recordings
Journal of the SMPTE, 1971Magnetic recordings may be copied from one Crolyn® chromium dioxide tape to another by a simple thermal method. Surface of the copy tape is heated transiently above the Curie point (125 °C) and immediately placed in intimate contact with the master tape.

Duplicate Record Detection for Database Cleansing
2009 Second International Conference on Machine Vision, 2009Many organizations collect large amounts of data to support their business and decision making processes. The data collected from various sources may have data quality problems in it. These kinds of issues become prominent when various databases are integrated.

Duplicate record detection approach based on sentence embeddings
2020 IEEE 29th International Conference on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructure for Collaborative Enterprises (WETICE), 2020Duplicate record detection is a crucial task for data cleaning. Records representation is among the main challenges of this task. Word embeddings models have been widely applied in an attempt to improve records representation. However, despite the improvements made by word embeddings to enhance the semantic aspect, duplicate record detection results is

Detecting Approximately Duplicate Records in Database
2013The existing database system data quantity is huge, many of which are repeated data. Using the traditional approach for detecting approximately duplicate records to find similar duplicate records in the database will involve very large time complexity and space complexity, unable to obtain very good results.

Identification of approximately duplicate material records in ERP systems
Enterprise Information Systems, 2015The quality of master data is crucial for the accurate functioning of the various modules of an enterprise resource planning ERP system. This study addresses specific data problems arising from the generation of approximately duplicate material records in ERP databases.

High Speed Duplication of Magnetic Tape Recordings
IRE Transactions on Broadcast Transmission Systems, 1956The high-speed duplication of previously recorded magnetic tapes has made the tape radio network practical. For example, each of the two major radio networks in Mexico duplicates over 19,000 seven-inch reels of taped programs per month for their several hundred affiliated stations. Since the tapes are erasable and wire program circuits are seldom used,

Duplicate Accounting Records: Historical Notes
Accounting, Business & Financial History, 2006Abstract According to some of the earliest printed expositions of bookkeeping and accounts, a businessman might keep two ledgers pertaining to the same set of transactions. The second ledger could be an exact copy of the original ledger, to be available if the latter were lost or destroyed.

Duplicate Records Cleansing with Length Filtering and Dynamic Weighting
2008 Fourth International Conference on Semantics, Knowledge and Grid, 2008Due to diversity of data formats, missing of certain properties, imprecise records in heterogeneous literature databases, there exist duplicate records when integrating heterogeneous databases. Duplicate records lower the efficiency of information retrieval.
