Record linkage is feasible with non‐identifiable trauma and rehabilitation datasets

open access: yesAustralian and New Zealand Journal of Public Health, 2016
Objectives: 1) Describe probabilistic linkage (PL) for road trauma and rehabilitation records in New South Wales (NSW) Australia. 2) Determine the accuracy of linkage for these records.

Implementing privacy-preserving record linkage: welcome to the real world

open access: yesInternational Journal of Population Data Science, 2017
Objectives While record linkage has become a strategic research priority within Australia and internationally, legal and administrative issues prevent data linkage in some situations due to privacy concerns.

Record linkage in the Cape of Good Hope Panel*

open access: yesHistorical Methods: A Journal of Quantitative and Interdisciplinary History, 2019
In this article, we describe the record linkage procedure to create a panel from Cape Colony census returns, or opgaafrolle, for 1787–1828, a dataset of 42,354 household-level observations.

Record linkage for drug monitoring. [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Epidemiology & Community Health, 1981
A study was carried out to assess the feasibility of using record linkage for drug monitoring. For two years, three types of records were collected for a total of 43 117 people: (1) details of basic attributes, such as sex and age; (2) details of prescriptions dispensed; and (3) records of hospital admissions, obstetric deliveries, and deaths.

Redox‐dependent binding and conformational equilibria govern the fluorescence decay of NAD(P)H in living cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this work, we reveal how different enzyme binding configurations influence the fluorescence decay of NAD(P)H in live cells using time‐resolved anisotropy imaging and fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM). Mathematical modelling shows that the redox states of the NAD and NADP pools govern these configurations, shaping their fluorescence ...

Performance Evaluation and Accuracy Improvement in Individual Record Linking Problems Using Decision Tree Algorithm in Machine Learning [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Information Processing & Management
Record linkage is a vital process for consolidating data from different sources, particularly in Persian records where diverse data structures and formats present challenges. To tackle these complexities, an expert system with decision tree algorithms is

Choquet integral for record linkage

open access: yesAnnals of Operations Research, 2011
Record linkage is used in data privacy to evaluate the disclosure risk of protected data. It models potential attacks, where an intruder attempts to link records from the protected data to the original data. In this paper we introduce a novel distance based record linkage, which uses the Choquet integral to compute the distance between records.

The multidrug and toxin extrusion (MATE) transporter DTX51 antagonizes non‐cell‐autonomous HLS1–AMP1 signaling in a region‐specific manner

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Arabidopsis mutants hls1 hlh1 and amp1 lamp1 exhibit pleiotropic developmental phenotypes. Although the functions of the causative genes remain unclear, they act in the same genetic pathway and are thought to generate non‐cell‐autonomous signals.

Ergothioneine supplementation improves pup phenotype and survival in a murine model of spinal muscular atrophy

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) is a genetic disease affecting motor neurons. Individuals with SMA experience mitochondrial dysfunction and oxidative stress. The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of an antioxidant and neuroprotective substance, ergothioneine (ERGO), on an SMNΔ7 mouse model of SMA.
