Fuzzy record values

In this paper, the authors propose a method to assign a crisp random variable (or sometimes two r.v.) to a fuzzy random variable. A fuzzy random variable is a measurable function whose values are triangular fuzzy numbers. This approach is illustrated with examples. It is also shown how it works on a fuzzy data set.

On The Arc­Sine Record Values

Explicit algebraic expressions are derived for computing the means, variances and the covariances of the record values from the arc­sine distribution. The derivation uses a representation theorem due to Bairamov and Ahsanullah (2000).
