Perturbation Analysis of Rectangular Waveguide Containing Transversely Magnetized Semiconductor
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1966The boundary value problem of rectangular waveguide, filled with transversely magnetized semiconductor or plasma, is solved by a perturbation method reported earlier. The solution by first-order theory is compared to the results of an experiment in which surface currents in the guide wall due to perturbed and unperturbed TE/sub 1,0/ wave in N-type ...

Propagation in Rectangular Waveguide Containing Inhomogeneous, Anisotropic Dielectric
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1964The Wentzel, Kramers and Brillouin (WKB) approximation is used to solve the wave equations for propagation of guided waves in rectangular waveguide containing an inhomogeneous dielectric. The simplest form of anisotropy is used to characterize the relative dielectric constant, i.e., it is assumed that the relative permittivity tensor is diagonalized ...

Wave propagation in rectangular waveguide containing a semiconducting film
Proceedings of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, 1967Methods for the calculation of the propagation coefficient of a rectangular waveguide containing a centrally placed semiconducting film are discussed. Numerical solutions for such a system with film resistivities in the range 10Ω-10kΩ/square and frequencies in the range 8.4-12GHz have been made, and confirmed experimentally at 9.25GHz.
