Color Routing and Beam Steering of Single‐Molecule Emission with a Spherical Silicon Nanoantenna

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We experimentally demonstrate broadband directional emission from single molecules using a single spherical silicon nanoparticle assembled via DNA origami. By varying nanoparticle (NP) size and emitter position, we achieve unidirectional emission, beam steering, and color routing at the nanoscale, revealing modal interference as the underlying ...

A novel Multi-permittivity Cylindrical Dielectric Resonator Antenna for Wideband Applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, a novel multi-permittivity cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna for wideband application is presented. The multi-permittivity cylinder is formed by combining two different permittivity material sectors in such a way that each sector ...

Microwave whirlpools in a rectangular-waveguide cavity with a thin ferrite disk

open access: yes, 2007
We study a three dimensional system of a rectangular-waveguide resonator with an inserted thin ferrite disk. The interplay of reflection and transmission at the disk interfaces together with material gyrotropy effect, gives rise to a rich variety of wave

«QUADRUPOLE» MODE DR FILTER FOR C-BAND APPLICATIONS

open access: yesInformation and Telecommunication Sciences, 2013
The possibility of reducing the radiation loss of dielectric resonator (DR) to the external environment has been investigated for the first time by applying higher order mode of DR, namely “quadrupole” type, with higher Q factor.

A wideband frequency reconfigurable rectangular dielectric resonator antenna

open access: yes2016 10th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP), 2016
A wideband frequency reconfigurable dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is presented and discussed. The proposed antenna is capable of frequency switching at two different bands between 4.12 GHz and 8.85 GHz. The rectangular dielectric resonator with a permittivity of 15 is fed by U-shaped microstrip feed line.

Sensorized Engineered Tissues with Built‐in Thermoregulation and Nutrient Supply

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a granular hydrogel‐based tissue engineering platform that includes a closed‐loop temperature control to maintain 37°C and sustainably releases nutrients, thereby enabling cells to retain a high viability even if stored at room temperature for up to 24 h.

A New Wideband Circularly Polarized Dielectric Resonator Antenna [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A wideband and compact circularly polarized (CP) C-shaped dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is presented. The proposed C-shaped DR is excited by a simple stripe line connected to a coplanar waveguide (CPW) feeding line.

A critical review on the development of multi-geometrical stacked wideband dielectric resonator antenna

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal
Dielectric resonator antennas (DRAs) use dielectric material as a resonator to accomplish high radiation efficiency and avoid severe conductor loss. The dielectric material that behaves as a resonator is plagued by a number of limitations, including ...
