Giant Magnetic Coercivity Driven by Spin‐Bag Ferromagnetism in Epitaxial Sr3YCo4O10+δ Films with Engineered 2D Oxygen Vacancy Ordering

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A giant magnetic coercivity and a vertical shift of hysteresis loops are demonstrated in Sr3YCo4O10+δ epitaxial films. The hard magnetic behavior originates from ferromagnetic spin bags stabilized within a long‐range ordered oxygen‐vacancy structure.

Embedded Ferroelectric Nanoclusters Can Drive Polarization Reversal in a Non‐Ferroelectric Polar Film via the Proximity Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ferroelectric nanoclusters create local internal fields in a normally non‐switchable polar film because of polarization mismatch at their interfaces. That field opposes polarization in the regions with larger polarization and reinforces polarization in the regions with smaller polarization.

Bending Analysis of Rectangular Plate on Nor-uniform Elastic Foundations. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
In this paper, an approximate method for analyzing the bending problems of rectangular Mindlin plates on elastic foundations is proposed. The solutions of the partial differential equations of the bending are obtained in the discrete form, by translating

Nanoscale Spatial Tuning of Superconductivity in Cuprate Thin Films via Direct Laser Writing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Maskless direct laser writing enables local control of oxygen stoichiometry in epitaxial YBCO thin films under ambient conditions. Sub‐micrometer grayscale patterns with tunable optical response and superconducting transport properties are achieved.

Measurement and Evaluation of Partial Discharge Inception Voltage for Enameled Rectangular Wires under AC Voltage [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Recently, the market for EVs (Electric vehicles) and HEVs (Hybrid electric vehicles) has been expanding. In these vehicles, rectangular wires have started to be used for the traction motor coil to increase the motor performance.

Structural Power Composites Based on High Mass Loading Zn‐Ion Hybrid Supercapacitors with Metal Mesh Current Collectors and Aramid Nanofiber/Glass Fiber Composite Electrolytes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A multifunctional structural power composite is developed by integrating high‐mass‐loading Zn‐ion hybrid supercapacitors with metal mesh current collectors and aramid nanofiber‐based composite electrolytes, enabling simultaneous load‐bearing capability and enhanced areal energy storage.

A Hybrid Continuous Max-Sum Algorithm for Decentralised Coordination

open access: yes, 2010
Recent advances in decentralised coordination of multiple agents have led to the proposal of the max-sum algorithm for solving distributed constraint optimisation problems (DCOPs). The max-sum algorithm is fully decentralised, converges to optimality for

Hierarchical equilibria of branching populations [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we study high moment partial sum processes based on residuals of a stationary ARMA model with or without a unknown mean parameter. We show that they can be approximated in probability by the analogous processes which are obtained from the ...

A Self-stabilizing Algorithm for the Median Problem in Partial Rectangular Grids and Their Relatives

open access: yes, 2010
International audienceGiven a graph $G=(V,E)$, a vertex $v$ of $G$ is a \emph{median vertex} if it minimizes the sum of the distances to all other vertices of $G$. The median problem consists of finding the set of all median vertices of $G$.

Dynamically Actuated Reconfigurable Topographical Surface Enables Active Control of Implant‐Associated Infections

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A dynamically actuated reconfigurable topographical surface (DARTS) integrates contact‐mediated bactericidal nanotopography with programmable mechanical actuation to actively disrupt bacterial biofilms. Dynamic surface reconfiguration enhances bacterial killing and suppresses implant‐associated infections in vivo, providing a new strategy for active ...
