The horizontal amplitude screening effects of a rectangular strip in-filled trench
Journal of the Chinese Institute of Engineers, 2013The horizontal amplitude screening effects of an in-filled trench are solved using the boundary element method in the frequency domain. Dimensionless parametric studies are performed to assess the screening effects of the trench in terms of the geometry, in-filled material, foundational embedment, and shear wave velocity ratio of the in-filled material

Gains of electric dipole arbitrarily oriented and placed above the rectangular screen
DIPED - 2001. Proceedings of 6th International Seminar/Workshop on Direct and Inverse Problems of Electromagnetic and Acoustic Wave Theory (IEEE Cat. No.01TH8554), 2002Using the uniform geometrical theory of diffraction algorithms and computer codes for calculating and analyzing the directive power gain of the electric dipole arbitrarily oriented and placed above an ideally conducting rectangular plane screen were worked out.

Parameters of jets out of rectangular nozzles when they are free or near a screen
Fluid Dynamics, 1979The results are given of an experimental determination of the parameters of jets out of rectangular nozzles. The distributions of the mean velocity and an impurity concentration were measured. The rearrangement of the jet flow associated with the three-dimensional structure of the jet and interaction of the jet and a screen was investigated.

Basic study on the rectangular numeric keys for touch screen.
Journal of human ergology, 2000The present study was conducted to examine the optimum inter-key spacing of numeric rectangular keys for touch screens. Six male students (22-25 years old) and three female students (21-24 years old) participated in the experiment. Each subject performed the data entry task using rectangular keys of touch devices.

Transmission in a rectangular waveguide loaded with an arbitrary number of capacitive screens
Applied Scientific Research, Section B, 1958Green’s theorem is applied to individual domains consisting of the walls of a rectangular waveguide and two neighbouring slotted capacitive screens. In addition this theorem is applied to the two end domains, that is, the one containing the incident field and the other containing the transmitted field only.

Effect of screens on the turbulent flow in the quiescent zone of a rectangular aquaculture raceway
Aquacultural Engineering, 2013Abstract An acoustic Doppler velocimeter (ADV) was used to measure detailed vertical profiles of mean velocity and (for the first time) turbulence characteristics at the center of the quiescent zone (QZ) of operating aquaculture raceways. Instantaneous velocities were recorded at 10 Hz and averaged over a 360-s time interval in order to derive mean ...

Transmission Resonance Phenomena for a Narrow Rectangular Slot in Thick Conducting Screen
2018 Progress in Electromagnetics Research Symposium (PIERS-Toyama), 2018Two types of transmission resonance phenomena which are observed in a narrow rectangular slot structure in thick conducting screen is dealt with along with experimental verification. Some discussions are also given in connection with the transmission resonance phenomena occurring in the cylindrical hole structure in the real metal, which was once ...

Microwave absorption enhancement of rectangular activated carbon fibers screen composites
Composites Part B: Engineering, 2015Abstract The radar absorbing materials composited of activated carbon fibers (ACF) as wave-absorber and glass fibers (GF) as impedance modifier were successfully prepared. The structure parameters of rectangular ACF felt screen, the influences of GF-piece and the reflection properties were investigated.

Efficient MLFMA analysis of coupled rectangular and circular apertures in a finite screen
IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest, 2003, 2003A multilevel fast multipole algorithm (MLFMA) is introduced for the efficient analysis of coupled rectangular and circular apertures of different size within a finite conducting screen. The electric field integral equation (EFIE) is written in terms of mixed potential formulation.

Electromagnetic plane wave scattering by a rectangular hole in a thick conducting screen
2017 International Conference on Electromagnetics in Advanced Applications (ICEAA), 2017Kirchhoff approximation method has been applied to formulate analytically an electromagnetic plane wave diffraction by a rectangular hole in a thick conducting screen. This three-dimensional structure is regarded as an open-ended rectangular waveguide cavity.
