Improved singular value inclusion sets for rectangular tensors
Abstract In this paper, improved singular value inclusion sets for rectangular tensors are given, which are tighter than those in (Zhao and Li in Linear Multilinear Algebra 66(7):1333–1350, 2018). Numerical experiments are reported to show the efficiency of the given inclusion sets.

Perron-Frobenius Theorem for Rectangular Tensors and Directed Hypergraphs
For any positive integers $r$, $s$, $m$, $n$, an $(r,s)$-order $(n,m)$-dimensional rectangular tensor ${\cal A}=(a_{i_1\cdots i_r}^{j_1\cdots j_s}) \in ({\mathbb R}^n)^r\times ({\mathbb R}^m)^s$ is called partially symmetric if it is invariant under any permutation on the lower $r$ indexes and any permutation on the upper $s$ indexes.

Mechanochromism of Glassy Polymers Enabled by a Loop‐Forming Supramolecular Mechanophore
The supramolecular mechanophore LOOP is covalently introduced into glassy polymers, capable of reporting force‐induced pre‐failure damage and local fracture events in polymer glasses. Under different mechanical deformation modes, including grinding, tensile stretching, and scratching, LOOP probes irreversible events in polymer glasses through a ...

A 3D anisotropic hydrogel derived from heart extracellular matrix guides cytoskeletal alignment and nuclear remodeling in reprogrammed cardiomyocyte‐like cells. This study reveals how matrix alignment modulates nuclear envelope dynamics and chromatin state, triggering transcriptional and functional maturation.

Impact of anisotropy on the interaction of an atom with a one-dimensional nano-grating
We study the interaction of an atom with a one-dimensional nano-grating within the framework of macroscopic QED, with special emphasis on possible anisotropic contributions.

Dispensing Volumetric Additive Manufacturing
Dispensing volumetric additive manufacturing (DVAM) prints 3D structures inside a photocurable resin droplet suspended from the tip of a glass pipette, enabling sequential printing without resin vats or manual part removal. Real‐time droplet profiling and ray‐tracing‐based correction compensate for optical distortion at the curved resin‐air interface ...

Gold bipyramids can act as efficient plasmonic nanoheaters, but they often reshape during laser heating. This study shows that oxygen nanobubbles drive oxidative etching and that surface ligands control stability. CTAB‐ and citrate‐coated particles blunt and lose optical performance, whereas polystyrene sulfonate preserves shape and heating by ...

Analysis of Graphene-Based Multilayered Three-Dimensional Structures by the Extended Method of Lines
In this paper, the method of lines is extended to analyze graphene-based multilayered 3-D structures. The graphene plates with tensor conductivity may cover partially or totally the interfaces between two consecutive layers.

Broad-Band Measurement of all Complex Permeability Tensor Components and Complex Permittivity of Ferrites using a Rectangular Waveguide [PDF]
We have worked out a broad-band characterization method for magnetized ferrimagnetic materials. The technique is based on the reflection/transmission measurement of the S-parameters of a rectangular waveguide partly loaded with a ferrite that is to be characterized. The device is set in between the poles of an electromagnet to magnetize the sample. The
