Doubly periodic rectangular waveguide
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2006AbstractBased on Floquet theorem and Maxwell's equations, the governing five‐term recurrence relation is derived for doubly periodic (DP) waveguide. Its dispersion curve is calculated. Schemes to realize DP waveguide are discussed. Measured date on a model are introduced to establish the proposed concept and the dual‐mode characteristics of DP ...

Multimode Analysis of Rectangular Waveguide Transitions
15th European Microwave Conference, 1985, 1985A method is presented to calculate the multimode scattering matrix of a continuous tapered rectangular waveguide transition. The method is based on approximating the transition by cascaded uniform waveguide sections, determining the scattering matrices of their junctions by a mode-matching method, and combining the matrices to yield the overall ...

Miniaturized synthetic rectangular waveguide
IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest, 2003, 2003An artificially engineered, dielectric-filled rectangular waveguide is presented. Such a synthetic waveguide, made by a conventional printed-circuit board (PCB) process, consists of two-dimensional periodical arrays at the top and bottom surfaces and two metallic sidewalls.

Analysis of a rectangular waveguide isolator
Journal of Lightwave Technology, 1983Isolator conditions are derived for a rectangular waveguide in which magneto-optical and anisotropic dielectric crystals are integrated for reciprocal and nonreciprocal E^{x}-E^{y} mode conversion functions, respectively. Relations between structural parameters are derived by perturbation analysis, and design examples of single-mode isolators with 3.6-,

Inductive Post Arrays in Rectangular Waveguide
Bell System Technical Journal, 1978Summary: Previous attempts, based on mode-matching techniques, to obtain precise data for the equivalent circuit of inductive post arrays in rectangular waveguide have consistently failed due to convergence problems. A different formulation is presented for symmetrical post arrays, which is shown to be free from this defect.

Characteristics Of Loaded Rectangular Waveguides
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1965Electromagnetic fields of a rectangular waveguide with an arbitrarily loaded slab are theoretically analyzed. Eigenvalues for the transmission modes are presented in the form of universal eigenvalue charts. Electric field distributions in the loaded waveguide are obtained theoretically, and they are compared with the results of measurements.

On the limits of multipactor in rectangular waveguides
Physics of Plasmas, 2020Multipactor in WR-284-like geometries is measured utilizing local and global detection techniques. To emulate conditions one may find in a waveguide filter structure while maintaining the fundamental microwave mode, a standard rectangular waveguide geometry with the reduced waveguide height set to 2.1 or 5.5 mm was adopted.

Curved filters in rectangular waveguide
26th European Microwave Conference, 1996, 1996Curved filters are realized by inserting suitably selected discontinuities inside a bend section, instead of a straight section. This configuration replaces the classical cascade filter-bend, saving size, weight and cost, while also increasing the design flexibility of complex microwave networks. Curved cavities are modelled by the local modes approach,

Corrugated Rectangular Waveguides: Composite Right-/Left-Handed Metaguides
2009Metamaterial transmission lines were recently introduced as structures supporting left-hand (LH) propagation in addition to the conventional right-hand propagation. Realizations and applications for composite right-/left-handed transmission lines were surveyed. Examining the LH propagation phenomena in these structures is thus in order.
