Comparison of heat input for rectification at various states of the initial binary mixture
Comparison of heat input for rectification at various states of the initial binary mixture was carried out. It is shown that the total heat input for rectification is minimal at a column feed of the initial mixture lower than its boiling point.

Optimal energy dissipation in growing microorganisms and rectification columns [PDF]
Abstract. This paper proposes a new point of view in analyzing the optimal Gibbs energy dissipation in growing microorganisms. Small Gibbs energy dissipation in growth would be of biological advantage because less resource is consumed and the biomass yield on these resources could be maximized.

A Direct Way to Find the Right Key of a Semistandard Young Tableau [PDF]
The right and left key of a semistandard Young tableau were introduced by Lascoux and Schutzenberger in 1990. Most prominently, the right key is a tool used to find Demazure characters for sl(n,C).

Rocking ratchets in 2D Josephson networks: collective effects and current reversal
A detailed numerical study on the directed motion of ac-driven vortices and antivortices in 2D Josephson junction arrays (JJA) with an asymmetric periodic pinning potential is reported. Dc-voltage rectification shows a strong dependence on vortex density

Visual teach‐and‐repeat (VTR) navigation allows robots to learn and follow routes without building a full metric map. We show that navigation accuracy for VTR can be improved by integrating a topological map with error‐drift correction based on stereo vision.

Internal Structure of a Jet Nozzle for Coalbed Methane Mining Based on Airfoil Curves
Based on airfoil curves that can effectively balance the rectification and drag reduction effects in flight hydrodynamics, we designed an internal streamline structure of jet nozzle for coalbed methane (CBM) mining. The three types of nozzles originating
