Management of post‐implant fibrous dysplasia in the maxilla: A case study
Abstract Background Fibrous dysplasia is generally rare, and even rarer in older adults. Special care is needed when altering the alveolar bone in these cases, especially if an implant is involved. This case study highlights such a scenario. Methods This case study details the experience of a 63‐year‐old African American female who presented with a ...

mibPOPdb: An online database for microbial biodegradation of persistent organic pollutants
This study presents the Microbial Biodegradation of Persistent Organic Pollutants Database (mibPOPdb) database, a web‐accessible literature‐based microbial biodegradation of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) resource. We also developed a robust chemical biodegradability prediction model with Graph Neural Networks.

Abstract This study investigated how avoidance motivation, which entails a fear of failure and focus on avoiding negative outcomes, influences adolescents’ aspirations toward scientific research careers. Participants consisted of 245 high school students participating in a summer science enrichment program. Results of a hierarchical regression analysis

Chain recurrence rates and topological entropy [PDF]
We investigate the properties of chain recurrent, chain transitive, and chain mixing maps (generalizations of the well-known notions of non-wandering, topologically transitive, and topologically mixing maps). We describe the structure of chain transitive maps. These notions of recurrence are defined using $\ep$-chains, and the minimal lengths of these $

Generalization of Spivey’s Recurrence Relation
In 2008, Spivey found a recurrence relation for the Bell numbers. We consider the probabilistic r-Bell polynomials associated with which are a probabilistic extension of the r-Bell polynomials. Here Y is a random variable whose moment generating function exists in some neighborhood of the origin . The aim of this paper is to generalize the relation for

On the semilocal convergence of derivative free methods for solving nonlinear equations
We introduce a Derivative Free Method (DFM) for solving nonlinear equations in a Banach space setting. We provide a semilocal convergence analysis for DFM using recurrence relations. Numerical examples validating our theoretical results are also provided

INEQUALITIES FOR SOME SPECIAL FUNCTIONS
The present paper is expository. We give a survey of some simple methods for finding bounds for some special functions. Our results are based on the recurrence relations satisfied by these functions and on some integral representations.

AI and the Future of Disputing: Naming, Blaming, Claiming, and Preventing
ABSTRACT This paper explores the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on dispute resolution mechanisms. Our analysis builds on the longstanding framework for explaining the stages through which disputes evolve: the “naming, blaming, claiming” model by Felstiner, Abel, and Sarat (1981).
