Recent advances in data‐driven and artificial intelligence‐integrated perovskite solar cells: From design to self‐driving laboratories

open access: yesInfoMat, EarlyView.
To address the limitations of conventional trial‐and‐error approaches, perovskite solar cell research is shifting toward a new paradigm that utilizes datasets and AI. This review examines the fundamental elements of data‐driven and AI‐integrated research: data platforms, AI methodologies, and self‐driving laboratories, demonstrating how their ...

Decoding temporal miRNA signatures of semen under in vitro exposure for forensic time since deposition estimation using machine learning‐driven modeling

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
This study develops a novel miRNA‐based framework for estimating the time since deposition of semen stains, combining small RNA sequencing with machine learning. Time‐dependent miRNA modules were identified using Mfuzz clustering and WGCNA, followed by a multi‐stage feature selection pipeline that reduced 261 candidate miRNAs to a minimal 7‐miRNA panel.

Is the Ability to Simulate Chance a Discriminant Property between High Functioning ASD and Typical Subjects?

open access: yesEpidemiology, Biostatistics and Public Health
INTRODUCTION The definition of the concept of randomness and the difficulty of humans to simulate it, in the sense of being able to produce unpredictable patterns within reasonably tight margins of error, constitute a profound topic of discussion ...

Organoids and organ‐on‐a‐chip models for investigating the pathophysiology of the human reproductive system

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Organoids and organ‐on‐a‐chips are advancing reproductive system research. In the female reproductive system, applications include cancer organoid models, placental chips, and hormone simulation models. For the male reproductive system, research focuses on drug resistance mechanisms, co‐culture platforms, and infertility studies. These refined in vitro

From Reactive to Proactive Volatility Modeling With Hemisphere Neural Networks

open access: yesJournal of Applied Econometrics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We revisit maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) for macroeconomic density forecasting through a novel neural network architecture with dedicated mean and variance hemispheres. Our architecture features several key ingredients making MLE work in this context.

Errorless robust JPEG steganography using steganographic polar codes

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Information Security
Recently, a robust steganographic algorithm that achieves errorless robustness against JPEG recompression has been proposed. The method employs a lattice embedding scheme and utilizes the syndrome-trellis code (STC) for practical embedding.

What Explains International Interest Rate Co‐Movement?

open access: yesJournal of Applied Econometrics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The international co‐movement of interest rates reflects correlated business‐cycle fluctuations, largely driven by demand shocks. Monetary policy in advanced economies follows domestic mandates—inflation and the output gap—and does not respond to foreign policy shocks.

Monetary Policy Shocks and Exchange Rate Dynamics in Small Open Economies

open access: yesJournal of Applied Econometrics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper investigates whether the effects of monetary policy shocks on real exchange rates have changed over time and, if so, whether these changes stem from shifts in transmission mechanisms or from variation in the volatility of the shocks themselves.

Revisiting EWMA in High‐Frequency‐Based Portfolio Optimization: A Comparative Assessment

open access: yesJournal of Applied Econometrics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper compares the statistical and economic performance of state‐of‐the‐art high‐frequency (HF) based multivariate volatility models with a simpler, widely used alternative, the Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (EWMA) filter. Using over two decades of 100 U.S.
