A Dual-Recursive-Least-Squares Algorithm for Automotive Radar Interference Suppression
IEEE transactions on intelligent transportation systems (Print), 2023Automotive radar sensors are widely used in vehicles so as to allow the “advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS)” to work. As far as we are concerned, no mandatory regulations were established so far for interference control in the cases where multiple

Recursive Least Squares with Variable-Rate Forgetting Based on the F-Test
American Control Conference, 2022A variable-rate forgetting factor for recursive least squares is developed for parameter identification of time-varying systems. The variable-rate forgetting factor uses the F-test to compare short- and long-term variances of the one-step prediction ...

Adaptive phase control using recursive least squares (RLS) phase estimation
Electronics and Communications in Japan (Part III: Fundamental Electronic Science), 1994AbstractThis paper considers the realization of high‐speed phase synchronization when there exists a frequency error and discusses the application of the recursive least square (RLS) algorithm to the burst signal demodulator. Especially, as a phase control algorithm for the coherent detection where there is an error in the carrier frequency, a method ...

A Proportionate Recursive Least Squares Algorithm and Its Performance Analysis
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems - II - Express Briefs, 2021The proportionate updating (PU) mechanism has been widely adopted in least mean squares (LMS) adaptive filtering algorithms to exploit the system sparsity.

Modified recursive least squares (RLS) algorithm for neural networks using piecewise linear function
IEE Proceedings - Circuits, Devices and Systems, 2004The recursive least squares (RLS) learning algorithm for multilayer feedforward neural networks uses a sigmoid nonlinearity at node outputs. It is shown that by using a piecewise linear function at node outputs, the algorithm becomes faster. The modified algorithm improves computational efficiency and by preserving matrix symmetry it is possible to ...

In this paper, we present a speaker verification system based on the Hidden Markov Model (HMM) technique and Recursive Least Squares (RLS) adaptive filtering. The aim of using RLS adaptive filtering is to improve the HMM performance in noisy environments. A Malay spoken digit database is used for the testing and validation modules. It is shown that, in

The thermal model of shape memory alloy (SMA) wires is improved by identifying the convectional heat transfer model (htm) parameters. Recursive Least Square (RLS) Method is used to estimate heat transfer coefficient, specific heat and latent heat coefficient. The parameters are estimated altogether with the surface area, volume and density of the wire.

A multichannel adaptive lattice algorithm is derived that provides a least-squares estimate of a primary signal in terms of the last p samples of m reference signals. The recursions developed are optimized for multichannel use and provide an algorithm with computational complexity O(pm/sup 2/).

The recursive batch least squares filter: An efficient RLS filter for floating-point hardware
2017 European Conference on Circuit Theory and Design (ECCTD), 2017Conventional Recursive Least Squares (RLS) filters have a complexity of 1.5L2 products per sample, where L is the number of parameters in the least squares model. The recently published FWL RLS algorithm has a complexity of L2, about 33% lower. We present an algorithm which has a complexity between 5L2/6 and L2/2. The algorithm is in theory as fast and
