Stabilization of 2D NSHP Recursive Digital Filters with Guaranteed Stability Using PLSI Polynomials

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2009
Two-dimensional digital filters have gained wide acceptance in recent years. For recursive filters, nonsymmetric half-plane versions (also known as semicausal) are more general than quarter-plane versions (also known as causal) in approximating arbitrary

Comparative 1H NMR Metabolomics Between Scandinavian Propolis and Australian Propolis: The Quest to Identify Radical Scavenging Compounds. [PDF]

open access: yesMagn Reson Chem
Propolis from Scandinavia and Australia was chemically characterized using 1H NMR spectroscopy and multivariate modeling. Recursive partial least squares revealed spectral features associated with radical scavenging activity, and STOCSY enabled identification of the key phenolic compounds underlying these bioactive features. ABSTRACT Propolis from Apis

Underdetermined-order recursive least-squares adaptive filtering: the concept and algorithms [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 1997
Underdetermined recursive least-squares (URLS) adaptive filtering is introduced. In particular, the URLS algorithm is derived and shown to be a direct consequence of the principle of minimal disturbance. By exploiting the Hankel structure of the filter input matrix, the fast transversal filter (FTF) version of the URLS algorithm (URLS-FTF) is derived ...

Transfer Learning Approaches in Bioprocess Engineering: Opportunities and Challenges

open access: yesBiotechnology and Bioengineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Transfer learning (TL) has recently emerged as a promising approach to overcoming one of the key limitations of bioprocess engineering: data scarcity. By leveraging knowledge from one bioprocess to another, TL allows existing models and data sets to be reused efficiently, accelerating process development, improving prediction accuracy, and ...

Efficient recursive in order least squares FIR filtering and prediction

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 1985
This paper is concerned with the efficient determination of the optimum, in the least squares sense, FIR filter on the basis of data samples of the input and desired response signals, by procedures recursive in the filter order. This situation typically arises when no a priori statistics are available and the system order is not known.

Filtering Based Recursive Least Squares Algorithm for Multi‐Input Multioutput Hammerstein Models [PDF]

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, 2014
This paper considers the parameter estimation problem for Hammerstein multi‐input multioutput finite impulse response (FIR‐MA) systems. Filtered by the noise transfer function, the FIR‐MA model is transformed into a controlled autoregressive model.

Rockburst prediction based on data preprocessing and hyperband‐RNN‐DNN

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
A data preprocessing workflow is proposed to address challenges in rockburst data analysis. Coupled algorithms preprocess the data set, and hyperband optimization is used to enhance RNN performance. Results show that preprocessing improves accuracy, while dense layers enhance model stability and prediction performance.

POWER: Performance Optimization With Evaluated Results for HEV Battery Selection via MCDM‐TOPSIS

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The increasing transportation demands and environmental concerns in India necessitate the selection of optimal battery technologies for hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs). As the fifth‐largest car market globally, India faces rising vehicle demand, while the transportation sector remains a major contributor to air pollution.
