Degeneracy Sensing Light Detection and Ranging‐Inertial Simultaneous Localization and Mapping with Dual‐Layer Resistant Odometry and Scan‐Context Loop‐Closure Detection Backend in Diverse Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This paper presents a degeneracy‐aware light detection and ranging (LiDAR)‐inertial framework that enhances LiDAR simultaneous localization and mapping performance in challenging environments. The proposed system integrates a dual‐layer robust odometry frontend with a Scan‐Context‐based loop‐closure detection backend.

Contact Force Estimation of Continuum Robots without Embedded Sensors: A Review

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This review surveys methods for estimating contact forces in continuum robots without embedded sensors. It explains why contact force matters, classifies force patterns, and groups existing methods into three approaches based on actuation, deformation, and environment information.

On the Higher Power Sums of Reciprocal Higher-Order Sequences

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2014
Let {un} be a higher-order linear recursive sequence. In this paper, we use the properties of error estimation and the analytic method to study the reciprocal sums of higher power of higher-order sequences.

enOn Polynomial Recursive Sequences

open access: yes, 2020
We study the expressive power of polynomial recursive sequences, a nonlinear extension of the well-known class of linear recursive sequences. These sequences arise naturally in the study of nonlinear extensions of weighted automata, where (non)expressiveness results translate to class separations. A typical example of a polynomial recursive sequence is

Dual Entropy Source Physical Unclonable Functions of Reconfigurable Feedback Field‐Effect Transistors with Polycrystalline Silicon Channels

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Physically unclonable functions (PUFs) of reconfigurable feedback field‐effect transistors (R‐FBFETs) with polycrystalline silicon channels are designed for dual entropy sources. The uniqueness and reliability of the dual entropy source PUF are verified by inter‐ and intra‐Hamming distances of 49.13% and 3.47%, respectively, as well as NIST statistical

Voxel‐SLAM: A Complete, Accurate, and Versatile Light Detection and Ranging‐Inertial Simultaneous Localization and Mapping System

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
: In this work, Voxel‐SLAM (simultaneous localization and mapping) is introduced: a complete, accurate, and versatile LiDAR (light detection and ranging) ‐inertial SLAM system consisting of five modules: initialization, odometry, local mapping (LM), loop closure (LC), and global mapping (GM), all employing the same map representation, an adaptive voxel

Analytical and Solutions of Fourth Order Difference Equations

open access: yesCommunications in Advanced Mathematical Sciences, 2019
In this article, we presented the solutions of the following recursive sequences\[ x_{n+1}=\frac{x_{n-2}x_{n-3}}{x_{n}(\pm1\pm x_{n-2}x_{n-3})}, \] where the initial conditions $x_{-3}\ ,x_{-2}\ ,x_{-1}$\ and $x_{0}\ $are arbitrary real numbers. Also, we

Comparing topologies on linearly recursive sequences

open access: yesArs Mathematica Contemporanea, 2019
The space of linearly recursive sequences of complex numbers admits two distinguished topologies. Namely, the adic topology induced by the ideal of those sequences whose first term is $0$ and the topology induced from the Krull topology on the space of complex power series via a suitable embedding. We show that these topologies are not equivalent.

D-Finite Discrete Generating Series and Their Sections

open access: yesMathematics
This paper investigates D-finite discrete generating series and their sections. The concept of D-finiteness is extended to multidimensional discrete generating series and its equivalence to p-recursive sequences is rigorously established.
