A Matrix Approach for Divisibility Properties of the Generalized Fibonacci Sequence
We give divisibility properties of the generalized Fibonacci sequence by matrix methods. We also present new recursive identities for the generalized Fibonacci and Lucas sequences.

Primitive Polynomials for Iterative Recursive Soft Sequential Acquisition of Concatenated Sequences
An iterative initial sequence acquisition technique is proposed for the pseudo-noise signal derived from a pair of m-sequences used for generating the concatenated sequence, which relies on the soft-in-soft-out detection to improve the acquisition ...

Strongly K-Recursive Sequences
Drawing inspiration from a recent paper of Heuberger, Krenn, and Lipnik, we define the class of strongly k-recursive sequences. We show that every k-automatic sequence is strongly $k$-recursive, therefore k-recursive, and discuss that the converse is not true.

The authors investigate the global attractivity of all positive solutions of equation \[ x_{n+1}= (a+bx_n^2)/(1+x_{n-1}^2),\quad \text{for } n=0,1,2, \dots, \tag{*} \] where \(a,b\in [0,\infty)\). They obtain that the unique positive equilibrium of equation (*) is the global attractor of all positive solutions of equation (*) under certain conditions.

Solid Harmonic Wavelet Bispectrum for Image Analysis
The Solid Harmonic Wavelet Bispectrum (SHWB), a rotation‐ and translation‐invariant descriptor that captures higher‐order (phase) correlations in signals, is introduced. Combining wavelet scattering, bispectral analysis, and group theory, SHWB achieves interpretable, data‐efficient representations and demonstrates competitive performance across texture,

Differentiating a Linear Recursive Sequence
Consider a sequence of real-valued functions of a real variable given by a homogeneous linear recursion with differentiable coefficients. We show that if the functions in the sequence are differentiable, then the sequence of derivatives also satisfies a homogeneous linear recursion whose order is at most double the order of original recursion ...

Adult Sex Ratio as a Demographic Feedback Linking Mating Systems, Parental Care, and Evolution
Breeding systems are some of the most diverse social behavior, and our team is investigation the evolutionary causes of this diversity. This review summarises our research carried out at the University of Bath. We argue that demographic components of wild populations, especially the adult sex ratio, plays a key role driving breeding system variation ...
