The Dendritic Cell Receptor for Endocytosis, Dec-205, Can Recycle and Enhance Antigen Presentation via Major Histocompatibility Complex Class II–Positive Lysosomal Compartments

open access: yesJournal of Cell Biology, 2000
Many receptors for endocytosis recycle into and out of cells through early endosomes. We now find in dendritic cells that the DEC-205 multilectin receptor targets late endosomes or lysosomes rich in major histocompatibility complex class II (MHC II ...

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Recycling. Recycle of Aluminum.

open access: yesShigen-to-Sozai, 1997
In recycling of aluminum, the quality and the yield of molten aluminum at remelting are important subjects. For recycled products, secondary aluminum material used to be predominant but now compounds of 4iu minum and polymers account for the majority.

Insights Into the Antigenic Repertoire of Unclassified Synaptic Antibodies

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective We sought to characterize the sixth most common finding in our neuroimmunological laboratory practice (tissue assay‐observed unclassified neural antibodies [UNAs]), combining protein microarray and phage immunoprecipitation sequencing (PhIP‐Seq). Methods Patient specimens (258; 133 serums; 125 CSF) meeting UNA criteria were profiled;

Innovative Methodology for Sulfur Release from Copper Tailings by the Oxidation Roasting Process

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, 2020
To effectively prevent the accumulation of copper tailings from producing acid mine drainage (AMD) and maximize the comprehensive utilization of copper tailings, the process of oxidation roasting was adopted to release sulfur in the form of SO2 to ...

Performance characterization of a Bosch CO sub 2 reduction subsystem [PDF]

open access: yes
The performance of Bosch hardware at the subsystem level (up to five-person capacity) in terms of five operating parameters was investigated. The five parameters were: (1) reactor temperature, (2) recycle loop mass flow rate, (3) recycle loop gas ...

Interrelationship of hydrology, microbial colonisation and hydrometallurgy in a simulated chalcopyrite heap leach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Includes bibliographical references (leaves 104-115).Chalcopyrite is the most abundant primary copper sulphide mineral found worldwide. As copper grades of ores available for extraction decrease, heap bioleaching is gaining interest as a potential ...

Inhibition of Classical and Alternative Complement Pathway by Ravulizumab and Eculizumab

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To explore the feasibility of classical (CH50) and alternative (AH50) complement pathway activity as potential biomarkers for treatment guidance and monitoring during therapy with ravulizumab in patients with generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG) and compare these to therapeutic drug monitoring under eculizumab.
