Heterostructure‐Specific Toughening Mechanisms in Metallic Laminates
This study highlights how various aspects of the heterostructural design of metallic laminates can be specifically tailored to achieve improved fracture resistance for damage‐tolerant designs of cyclically stressed components. Based on results from in situ fatigue crack growth tests, a comprehensive overview of the formation and development of ...

Key recycling in authentication
In their seminal work on authentication, Wegman and Carter propose that to authenticate multiple messages, it is sufficient to reuse the same hash function as long as each tag is encrypted with a one-time pad.

Direct Recycling of Cold Work Tool Steel Swarf into New Cutting Disks via Field‐Assisted Sintering
Through a sintering method known as field‐assisted sintering technology/spark plasma sintering, cold work tool steel swarf can be directly recycled into new cutting disks. This method is capable of densifying the unconventional powder morphology of swarf, and it can also seal grinding contaminants, such as Al2O3, into the steel matrix.

Sludge phases with brittle fracture behavior form in AlMgSi alloys with high concentrations of alloying elements and negatively influence their ductility. The phase type mainly depends on the Si content and the concentration of minor alloying elements like Fe, Mn, Cr, and Mo strongly influences the number of sludge particles. The need for sustainable

In this work, a magnetic core‐shell catalyst (HOF‐on‐Fe3O4/ZIF‐67) is successfully synthesized, consisting of a metal–organic framework (ZIF‐67) with magnetic Fe3O4 as the core and a porous hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) as the shell. The catalyst efficiently activated peroxymonosulfate, resulting in rapid and effective removal of water ...

Recycling. Recycle of Aluminum.
In recycling of aluminum, the quality and the yield of molten aluminum at remelting are important subjects. For recycled products, secondary aluminum material used to be predominant but now compounds of 4iu minum and polymers account for the majority.
