Assessing the Microstructure of SnBiZn Alloys during Semisolid Treatment
The development of Sn‐based alloys for semisolid processing is crucial for Industry 4.0. This study investigates Sn40Bi and Sn40Bi2Zn alloys, revealing that Zn refines Sn‐rich globules by pinning dendrite boundaries. Bi saturation occurs at 60 min, while Zn enhances globule microhardness at 90 min through solid solution strengthening.

LCA-based indicators for recycling: a case study on plastic waste treatment in Flanders [PDF]
The last decades, waste management strategies are shifting from waste disposal to recycling, considering waste as resources. To quantitatively monitor the progress in this transition, a wide range of indicators has been developed. One of these indicators

Dynamic linkages are highly attractive in preparing single crystals of covalent organic polymers (COPs). Here, single crystals of two COPs CityU‐15 and CityU‐16 based on reversible B─N bonds are constructed using tetra(4‐pyridyl)tetrathiafulvalene and tetra(4‐pyridyl)porphine as monomers.

Dynamic aperture and space charge effect studies for the Recycler ring for Project-X [PDF]
A simplified Recycler lattice was created to fine tune injection straight, ring tune, and phase trombone. In this paper, we will present detailed modifications for further optimization of Recycler lattice which requires the investigation of tune footprint and dynamic aperture based on higher order momentum components of the magnetic fields, together ...

Copper sulfide based electrocatalysts for CO2 conversion are selective for production of formate as major product. Transformations under electrochemical conditions result in significant sulfur loss, and this study examines the nature of how persistent, residual sulfur (observed as surface SO42– species and S dissolved in the electrolyte) can sustain ...

The Recycler Electron Cooler [PDF]
The Recycler Electron cooler was the first (and so far, the only) cooler working at a relativistic energy ({\gamma} = 9.5). It was successfully developed in 1995-2004 and was in operation at Fermilab in 2005-2011, providing cooling of antiprotons in the Recycler ring. This paper describes the cooler, difficulties in achieving the required electron beam

Recycling. Recycle of Aluminum.
In recycling of aluminum, the quality and the yield of molten aluminum at remelting are important subjects. For recycled products, secondary aluminum material used to be predominant but now compounds of 4iu minum and polymers account for the majority.
