The Adaptation of Recycling Processes to Pu-Multi Recycling

2021
Plutonium multi-recycling is one of the main aims to gradually achieve a fully closed and sustainable nuclear fuel cycle in the future, particularly once fast reactors will be deployed into the fleet. To reach this objective, optimizations of current processes and technologies and, in some cases, development of innovative concepts are required to meet ...

RUBBER RECYCLING: CHEMISTRY, PROCESSING, AND APPLICATIONS

Rubber Chemistry and Technology, 2012
ABSTRACT For both environmental and economic reasons, there is broad interest in recycling rubber and in the continued development of recycling technologies. The use of postindustrial materials is a fairly well-established and documented business.

Principles of recycling processes

Conservation & Recycling, 1976
Abstract The processes which are available for use in some aspects of recycling of solid materials are described. The techniques are explained with some elementary design criteria included where approiate. Size reduction equipment for use with various types of solid material is covered, including some basic principles of comminution.

Recycling processes in tokamaks

Journal of Nuclear Materials, 1978
Abstract Recycling of the working gas at the walls and limiter of a tokamak discharge plays a pivotal role in the dynamics of the plasma. Because of large recycling rates, plasma can generally be maintained for many particle confinement times without the introduction of new gas from sources external to the vacuum system.

HEAT RECYCLING PROCESS. PIT PROCESS

A system of sequentially connected adiabatic motor stages is considered, when each subsequent stage operates with the power transferred to the refrigerator from the previous stage. It is well known that each subsequent stage increases the final efficiency of the system.

The Syngas Recycle Process

1981
The Syngas process is being developed to convert shredded municipal solid waste (MSW) into a methane-rich gas that can be used interchangeably with natural gas for industrial and utility purposes. The basic elements of the Syngas process are illustrated in Figure 1.

Steel mill residue recycling processes

Conservation & Recycling, 1985
The American steel industry has a resource available to it, viz iron and steel making dust, sludges and mill scale, that could assist in energy conservation. Arthur D. Little, Inc. was commissioned by the Department of Energy to undertake a study to estimate the potential for energy conservation by the recycling of steel mill dusts and sludges ...
