The same recycling methods used for other thermoplastics, apply to the reclamation of PVC waste [I]. Clean, single material can be ground to produce recyclates which are able to replace prime PVC in many applications. The high density of PVC also makes a separation from plastics mixtures possible [2].

This chapter introduces the definition, classification, and fundamentals of e-waste, which is the fastest growing waste stream in the world and grows three times faster than the municipal waste. Significance and characteristics of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and e-waste, which contain both valuable inorganic/organic materials and ...

The assessment effort concerned required evaluation of various relevant properties of vanadium alloys. The outcome predictably shows that these properties, as well as timing, funding, manufacturing and licensing aspects, each set their own specific boundary conditions for application of these alloys in ITER.

WASTE RECOVERY: Recycling and Waste to Energy
2007European Union is firmly determined to establish, within the different Countries which belong to it, a recycling society. This is a big challenge to face, because waste management systems in Europe are often still based on traditional options, as landfill or incineration with scarce energy recovery.
