Semiconductive and Photoconductive Properties of the Single Molecule Magnets Mn$_{12}$-Acetate and Fe$_8$Br$_8$

open access: yes, 2003
Resistivity measurements are reported for single crystals of Mn$_{12}$-Acetate and Fe$_8$Br$_8$. Both materials exhibit a semiconductor-like, thermally activated behavior over the 200-300 K range.

Beyond the Brim of the Hat: Kinematics of Globular Clusters out to Large Radius in the Sombrero Galaxy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We have obtained radial velocity measurements for 51 new globular clusters around the Sombrero galaxy. These measurements were obtained using spectroscopic observations from the AAOmega spectrograph on the Anglo-Australian Telescope and the Hydra ...

The photodissociation of CH3I in the red edge of the A-band: Comparison between slice imaging experiments and multisurface wave packet calculations [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Chemical Physics, 2009
The photodissociation of methyl iodide at different wavelengths in the red edge of the A-band (286–333 nm) has been studied using a combination of slice imaging and resonance enhanced multiphoton ionization detection of the methyl fragment in the vibrational ground state (ν=0).

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Colombian coffee tree leaves multispectral images datasetKaggle

open access: yesData in Brief
In this work, a unique database of 6726 multispectral images of coffee leaves is presented. These images were captured in JPG format for the RGB photos and in TIF format for the five multispectral bands: blue, green, red, NIR and red edge, providing a ...

Evaluation of Sentinel-2 vegetation indices for prediction of LAI, fAPAR and fCover of winter wheat in Bulgaria

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Remote Sensing, 2021
The red-edge bands of Sentinel-2 allow for a greater diversity of spectral Vegetation Indices (VIs) to be calculated and used for vegetation characterization.

Antlia Dwarf Galaxy: Distance, quantitative morphology and recent formation history via statistical field correction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We apply a statistical field correction technique originally designed to determine membership of high redshift galaxy clusters to Hubble Space Telescope imaging of the Antlia Dwarf Galaxy; a galaxy at the very edge of the Local Group.

Potential of Red Edge Spectral Bands in Future Landsat Satellites on Agroecosystem Canopy Green Leaf Area Index Retrieval [PDF]

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2018
Vegetation biophysical parameter retrieval is an important earth remote sensing system application. In this paper, we studied the potential impact of the addition of new spectral bands in the red edge region in future Landsat satellites on agroecosystem canopy green leaf area index (LAI) retrieval.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Estimating mangrove leaf area index based on red-edge vegetation indices: A comparison among UAV, WorldView-2 and Sentinel-2 imagery

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Earth Observations and Geoinformation, 2021
Accurate estimation of mangrove leaf area index (LAI) is fundamental for effective mangrove ecosystem management and protection. Remote sensing technology has showed its powerful potential in accurately retrieving mangrove LAI.
