Genotypic differences in partial resistance to crown rot caused by Fusarium pseudograminearum in relation to an osmoregulation gene in wheat [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Both crown rot and osmoregulation are expressed when wheat plants undergo water stress. A possible genetic linkage between high osmoregulation and partial resistance to crown rot was investigated by using lines that had been bred for high osmoregulation (

Impact of crop sequence on cereal yield and soil health in shallow dryland soils

open access: yesAgronomy Journal, Volume 118, Issue 5, September/October 2026.
Abstract Diversifying small‐grain production systems is encouraged in the US northern Great Plains and similar semiarid regions. Our objective was to determine how crop sequence affected small‐grain crop disease, grain yield, and soil biology in shallow dryland soils of central Montana. Barley (Hordeum vulgare L.), canola (Brassica napus L.), field pea
