ENVIRONMENTAL VARIABLES ASSOCIATED WITH INVASIVE GLOSSY BUCKTHORN (FRANGULA ALNUS MILL.) AND INDIRECT CONTROL STRATEGIES FOR FOREST MANAGERS [PDF]
Glossy buckthorn (Frangula alnus Mill.) is one of the most prominent non-native invasive plant species affecting New England forests. It quickly invades a forest and can create a dense understory effectively altering the species composition and dynamics

A sprayable POE‐based sorbent formulated with a green solvent blend of α‐pinene, D‐limonene, and p‐cymene enables rapid in situ film formation via solvent evaporation, allowing efficient pollutant capture. The system exhibits high oil uptake (37.3 g g−1) and effectively removes up to 60 mL of VLSFO under simulated marine spill conditions.

Topographic diversity leads to climate and vegetation differences over short distances. A significant example of these differences is temperature inversion, where cold air accumulates in hollows and concave areas, resulting in lower temperatures in lower

ABSTRACT Heat induced delamination (HID) is a phenomenon in engineered wood products which may result in the detachment of the bonded timber lamellae before charring propagates to the bond line interphase. This study aims to correlate the thermal degradation of two 1‐c‐polyurethane adhesives at the microscale to the thermo‐hydro‐mechanical behaviour of

RED PINE SEEDFALL IN SOUTHEASTERN MANITOBA
Between September 1957 and August 1962 periodic red pine seed collections were made in a cut-over stand that originally supported a mixture of red and jack pine. A partially cut area and one-chain-wide clear-cut strips, from which all jack pine were cut, were sampled.
