In this paper, we present an interactive virtual display system to facilitate the ubiquitous user interaction with heterogeneous devices. By using small-size programmable hardware and wearable sensors, any display device (referred to as display surface) can act as a thin client for users to interact with the different remote devices.

Optimization of RocksDB for Redis on Flash
Proceedings of the International Conference on Compute and Data Analysis, 2017RocksDB is a popular key-value store, optimized for fast storage. With Solid-State Drives (SSDs) becoming prevalent, RocksDB gained widespread adoption and is now common in production settings. Specifically, various software stacks embed RocksDB as a storage engine to optimize access to block storage.

Designing ReDy Distributed Systems
2015 IEEE International Conference on Autonomic Computing, 2015Distributed systems are largely present and deployed in recent applications. Several systems have common basic requirements, which motivates to adapt reusable solutions for each family of systems. In this paper, we focus on distributed systems designed for large-scale applications requiring a high degree of Reliability and Dynamicity (ReDy distributed ...

Redis is a freely available software, in-memory data structure store, utilized as database, cache, and message agent. There is no official support for Windows builds; however, Microsoft develops and keeps up a Win-64 port of Redis. Redis is a key–value database. It is a solution for building elite and adaptable web applications.

Abstract The name of Francesco Redi is well known among toxinologists, at least from the Redi Prize, the highest recognition the International Society on Toxinology awards for outstanding merit in this field. Most of us know that Francesco Redi was a physician, and that he discovered the difference between venomous and non-venomous vipers.

This chapter shows you how to use Redis (REmote DIctionary Server) as a message broker with Spring Boot. Redis is an in-memory data structure store that is used as a database, cache, and message broker. It not only stores key-value pairs, but also can be used to store complex data types such as hashes, lists, sets, sorted sets, bitmaps, hyperlogs, and ...

The history of scabies is fascinating and its literature voluminous. A recent sketch of the history by Beeson1has prompted this note. The question as to who first discovered and described the itch mite is still a subject of dispute which does not seem likely to be settled in the near future.
