Furan‐Substituted Phosphine‐Oxide as an Efficient Interfacial Modifier for Wide‐Bandgap Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We report phosphine‐oxide interlayers for wide‐bandgap perovskite solar cells, in which tuned P = O Lewis basicity enables selective passivation of buried NiOx/perovskite interfaces and introduces interfacial dipoles that strengthen the built‐in field.

Comparative study on zinc oxide nanocrystals synthesized by two precipitation methods

open access: yesCerâmica
Zinc oxide nanocrystals were synthesized by two precipitation methods successfully. The nanocrystals prepared via method I (zinc acetate dihydrate precipitation with KOH) were smaller in crystallite size (~20 nm) as compared to method II (zinc nitrate ...

Electrostatic time dilation and redshift

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2020
We first present the salient features of the gravitational time dilation and redshift effects in two ways; by considering the oscillation frequencies/rates of clocks at different heights/potentials and by considering the photons emitted by these clocks ...

Giant Intrinsic Chirality Amplification of Aqueous Lead Halide Perovskite Nanocrystals via H‐Bond Driven Self‐Assembly Superstructures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Water‐assisted monoclinic CsPbBr3 transformation strategy is applied for synthesizing aqueous CsPbBr3/CsPb2Br5 nanocrystals with superior water‐repellent and excellent optical property. Low temperature enhanced hydrogen bonding network self‐assembled CsPbBr3/CsPb2Br5 nanocrystals into asymmetric superstructures, which exhibit notable circularly ...

A Note on the Inverse Problem with LTB Universes

open access: yes, 2010
The inverse problem with Lema\^itre-Tolman-Bondi (LTB) universe models is discussed. The LTB solution for the Einstein equations describes the spherically symmetric dust-filled spacetime. The LTB solution has two physical functional degrees of freedom of

Photometric redshift estimation via deep learning [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The need to analyze the available large synoptic multi-band surveys drives the development of new data-analysis methods. Photometric redshift estimation is one field of application where such new methods improved the results, substantially.

Observation of Two‐Photon Resonant Raman Scattering via the Biexciton Level in Two‐Dimensional Halide Perovskite (C6H5C2H4NH3)2PbI4

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Efficient two‐photon resonant Raman scattering (TRRS) is observed in the layered perovskite (PEA)2PbI4, with the biexciton level acting as an intermediate state. TRRS undergoes two‐photon frequency shift upon input frequency tuning, persists up to 90 K, and shows clear threshold behavior and polarization selection rules.

The mass–concentration–redshift relation of cold and warm dark matter haloes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We use a suite of cosmological simulations to study the mass–concentration–redshift relation, c(M, z), of dark matter haloes. Our simulations include standard Λ-cold dark matter (CDM) models, and additional runs with truncated power spectra, consistent ...

3D‐Printed Hygroscopic Polymer Networks for High‐Humidity Triboelectric Nanogenerators to Wirelessly Power Implantable Electronic Devices‐ A Conceptual Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work develops 3D‐printable tribopolymer networks that can enhance triboelectric performance under high humidity environments. Polar hydrophilic functional groups and incorporation of zwitterionic monomers promote bound‐water–dominated interfacial polarization thereby increasing electrical outputs.

1.4-GHz Luminosity Function of Galaxies from the Las Campanas Redshift Survey

open access: yes, 1998
A preliminary 1.4 GHz RLF at redshift of about 0.14 is derived from the Las Campanas Redshift Survey (LCRS) and the NVSS radio data. No significant evolution has been found at this redshift in comparison to the 'local' RLF.Comment: 2 pages including 2 ...
