Cosmology with Binary Neutron Stars: Does Mass–Redshift Correlation Matter?

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters
Next-generation gravitational-wave detectors are expected to detect millions of compact binary mergers across cosmological distances. The features of the mass distribution of these mergers, combined with gravitational-wave distance measurements, will ...

Region‐Selective Growth of Cu2O Shell on Gold Nanoprisms

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Molecular patches created on the surface of gold nanoprisms enable the region‐selective growth of a Cu2O shell on the prisms, ensuring simultaneously the intimate contact between the metal and semiconductor phases and the accessibility of the high‐intensity plasmonic near‐field regions.

Transparent, Sprayable Plastic Films for Luminescent Down‐Shifted‐Assisted Plant Growth

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 10, Issue 6, March 18, 2025.
Spreading the light: A modular approach to down‐shifting europium‐containing polyoxotitanium luminescent cages is developed, allowing their incorporation into sprayable plastic coatings on agricultural greenhouses for accelerated plant growth. Abstract The world's steadily growing population and global heating due to climate change are a threat to food

A Simple Model of the Radio–Infrared Correlation Depending on Gas Surface Density and Redshift

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We introduce a simple parametric model of the radio–infrared correlation (i.e., the ratio between the IR luminosity and the 1.4 GHz radio luminosity, q _IR ) by considering the energy loss rate of high-energy cosmic-ray (CR) electrons governed by ...

Dual Resonant Plasmonic Infrared Pixels for Selective Optical Encoding

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This study presents dual‐resonant plasmonic nanostructures for advanced optical encoding in the mid‐infrared. By optimizing plasmonic resonances in nano‐antennas within ring cavities, selective and simultaneous tunability in both the MWIR and LWIR regions is achieved.

Testing General Relativity Using Large-scale Structure Photometric Redshift Surveys and the Cosmic Microwave Background Lensing Effect

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series
The E _G statistic provides a valuable tool for evaluating the predictions of general relativity (GR) by probing the relationship between gravitational potential and galaxy clustering on cosmological scales within the observable Universe.
