Particular thermal metamaterials are widely used as daytime radiative coolers merely by embedding thermally emissive nanoparticles (NPs) in liquid resins to form scalable, yet highly efficient cooling films in a cost‐effective way. However, randomly dispersed NPs, prevalently used thus far, cause strong scattering, limiting NP content and cooling ...

Cosmological redshift distortion: deceleration, bias and density parameters from future redshift surveys of galaxies [PDF]
The observed two-point correlation functions of galaxies in redshift space become anisotropic due to the geometry of the universe as well as due to the presence of the peculiar velocity field.

GALAXY CLUSTERING IN THE COMPLETED SDSS REDSHIFT SURVEY: THE DEPENDENCE ON COLOR AND LUMINOSITY [PDF]
We measure the luminosity and color dependence of galaxy clustering in the largest-ever galaxy redshift survey, the main galaxy sample of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Seventh Data Release.

Controlling the polycrystallinity of CuO nanorods enables directional reconstruction into rod‐like structures that stabilize Cu(OH)2 and increase Cu+ ratios, while modulating interfacial water dynamics to enhance C─C coupling and boost C2+ product formation in CO2 electroreduction.

Lower bounds on photometric redshift errors from Type Ia supernovae templates [PDF]
Cosmology with Type Ia supernovae heretofore has required extensive spectroscopic follow-up to establish a redshift. Though tolerable at the present discovery rate, the next generation of ground-based all-sky survey instruments will render this approach ...

THE SWIFT GAMMA-RAY BURST HOST GALAXY LEGACY SURVEY. I. SAMPLE SELECTION AND REDSHIFT DISTRIBUTION [PDF]
We introduce the Swift Gamma-Ray Burst Host Galaxy Legacy Survey (“SHOALS”), a multi-observatory high-redshift galaxy survey targeting the largest unbiased sample of long-duration gamma-ray burst (GRB) hosts yet assembled (119 in total).

A Survey for Large Separation Lensed FIRST Quasars, II. Magnification Bias and Redshift Distribution [PDF]
The statistics of large-separation gravitational lensing are a powerful tool to probe mass distributions on the scale of galaxy clusters. In this paper we refine the analysis of our survey for large-separation (>5'') lensed FIRST quasars (Ofek et al ...

zCOSMOS: A Large VLT/VIMOS Redshift Survey Covering 0 < z < 3 in the COSMOS Field [PDF]
zCOSMOS is a large-redshift survey that is being undertaken in the COSMOS field using 600 hr of observation with the VIMOS spectrograph on the 8 m VLT. The survey is designed to characterize the environments of COSMOS galaxies from the 100 kpc scales of ...

Shellular materials form spontaneously by dip coating the primitive triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) wireframe in an aqueous solution of lyotropic liquid crystalline graphene oxide (GO) nanosheets mixed with polymers. Regulated by surface tension, GO nanosheets align on the polymer soap film as the stress builds up during drying.
