RVSNUpy: A Python Package for Spectroscopic Redshift Measurement Based on Cross Correlation

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
We introduce RVSNUpy , a new Python package designed to measure spectroscopic redshifts. Based on inverse-variance-weighted cross correlation, RVSNUpy determines redshifts by comparing observed spectra with various rest-frame template spectra.

The quasars’ redshift estimation method based on piecewise Gaussian fitting

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2019
To solve the problem that high-redshift and broad emission lines weaken the quasar discovery and observation severely, a new redshift calculation method based on piecewise Gaussian fitting is proposed. The denoised and normalized spectrum is divided into

The SSA22 H i Tomography Survey (SSA22-HIT). I. Data Set and Compiled Redshift Catalog

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal, 2023
We conducted a deep spectroscopic survey, named SSA22-HIT, in the SSA22 field with the DEep Imaging MultiObject Spectrograph (DEIMOS) on the Keck telescope, designed to tomographically map high- z H i gas through analysis of Ly α absorption in background

Defect‐Mediated Scintillation in Fully Inorganic Perovskites via Water‐Induced 0D/3D Phase Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A reproducible synthesis to control 3D/0D phase ratios via water‐tuned solvent–antisolvent methods is presented. Enhanced scintillation yield and ultrafast decay are achieved. Defect‐driven emission mechanisms are revealed through cathodoluminescence and radioluminescence, shedding light on the underexplored role of the 0D Cs4PbBr6 and mixed 0D/3D ...

Performance of the Quasar Spectral Templates for the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal, 2023
Millions of quasar spectra will be collected by the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI), leading to a fourfold increase in the number of known quasars.

EXTENDED PHOTOMETRY FOR THE DEEP2 GALAXY REDSHIFT SURVEY: A TESTBED FOR PHOTOMETRIC REDSHIFT EXPERIMENTS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This paper describes a new catalog that supplements the existing DEEP2 Galaxy Redshift Survey photometric and spectroscopic catalogs with ugriz photometry from two other surveys: the Canada–France–Hawaii Legacy Survey (CFHTLS) and the Sloan Digital Sky ...

Heterostructure‐Driven D‐Band of MoS2 Engineering Catalytic Polysulfide Conversion in Lithium–Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Research on phase ratio‐dependent modulation of built‐in electric fields and d‐band centers in yolk–shell structured C@MoS2‐MoSe2 has determined that the C@3MoS2‐1MoSe2 configuration is optimal, which can achieve an optimal d‐band center position and enhance electrochemical performance.

Reidentification of Redshifts of SDSS Galaxies Overlapped with Galactic Objects

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
This work presents a catalog of reidentified redshifts of 853 galaxies for which the redshifts of overlapping foreground objects were registered in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) DR16 Database.

DESI z ≳ 5 Quasar Survey. I. A First Sample of 400 New Quasars at z ∼ 4.7–6.6

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series, 2023
We report the first results of a high-redshift ( z ≳ 5) quasar survey using the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI). As a DESI secondary target program, this survey is designed to carry out a systematic search and investigation of quasars at 4.8 <
