The Massive and Distant Clusters of WISE Survey 2: Equatorial First Data Release
The Massive and Distant Clusters of WISE Survey 2 (MaDCoWS2) is a new survey designed as the successor of the original MaDCoWS survey. MaDCoWS2 improves upon its predecessor by using deeper optical and infrared data and a more powerful detection ...

The Southern Sky Redshift Survey [PDF]
The general characteristics of the space distribution of galaxies in the SSRS sample, covering the southern Galactic cap, are examined, and maps of the space distribution are presented. The sample consists of 2028 galaxies in an area of 1.75 sr with declination south of -17.5 deg and galactic latitude below -30 deg.

Self‐Trapped Hole Migration and Defect‐Mediated Thermal Quenching of Luminescence in α‐ and β‐Ga2O3
Temperature‐dependent photoluminescence and first‐principles calculations reveal self‐trapped hole migration as the microscopic origin of thermal quenching in α‐ and β‐Ga2O3. The low migration barrier in α‐Ga2O3 enables defect trapping and enhances blue luminescence, while the higher barrier in β‐Ga2O3 preserves ultraviolet emission at elevated ...

Type Ia Supernovae from First-generation Stars
Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) discovered at redshift z ≲ 2.5 are presumed to be produced from Population I/II stars. In this work, we investigate the production of SNe Ia from Population III binaries in the cosmological framework.

The Stromlo-APM Redshift Survey. IV. The Redshift Catalog
The Stromlo-APM Redshift Survey consists of 1797 galaxies with {ital b}{sub {ital J}}{le}17.15 selected randomly, at a rate of 1 in 20 from automated plate measurement (APM) scans. The survey covers a solid angle of 1.3 sr (4300 deg{sup 2}) in the south Galactic cap. Redshifts have been measured for 1790 (99.6{percent}) of the galaxies.

This work presents scalable silver nanorings with tunable thermoplasmonic properties for smart window applications. By responding to sunlight and environmental changes, the nanorings modulate near‐infrared light and reduce heat transmission. Their unique geometry enables dynamic optical control, offering a promising route toward energy‐efficient ...

Spectrally Tunable 2D Material‐Based Infrared Photodetectors for Intelligent Optoelectronics
Intelligent optoelectronics through spectral engineering of 2D material‐based infrared photodetectors. Abstract The evolution of intelligent optoelectronic systems is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). However, their practical realization hinges on the ability to dynamically capture and process optical signals across a broad infrared (IR) spectrum.
