Light Switchable Ionic Conductivity of Arylazopyrazole Modified Polysiloxanes
We present a polysiloxane functionalized with a novel arylazopyrazole dye that undergoes reversible photoisomerization. Upon lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide addition and UV irradiation, the polymer exhibits a shift in tan(d) toward higher frequencies and enhanced ionic conductivity.

Unravelling Galaxy Evolution With The Next Generation of Redshift Surveys [PDF]
In this talk I will present an overview of our current understanding of the processes which drive galaxy evolution; largely gleaned from the extensive redshift surveys undertaken over the last 20yrs such SDSS, 2dfGRS and GAMA. I will then outline current

Extragalactic science and cosmology with Stage IV galaxy surveys will rely almost exclusively on redshift measurements derived solely from photometry, which are subject to systematic and statistical uncertainties with numerous analysis choices.

Redshift Surveys and Cosmology
Redshift surveys are one of the prime tools of observational cosmology. Imaging surveys of the whole sky are now available at a wide range of wavelengths, and provide a basis for the new generation of massive redshift surveys currently in progress.

Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

International audienceWe interpret the wide variety of redshift distributions for galaxies found by far-infrared and (sub) millimeter deep surveys depending on their depth and wavelength using our phenomenological model of galaxy evolution.

Redshift distributions of extragalactic galaxy surveys [PDF]
Measurements of the large-scale structure of the universe are key observables to study fundamental physics. This thesis focuses on the calibration of photometric redshift distributions of extragalactic galaxy surveys and their impact on the analysis of ...

Simulating Spectral Confusion in SPHEREx Photometry and Redshifts
We model the impact of source confusion on photometry and the resulting spectrophotometric redshifts for SPHEREx, a NASA Medium-Class Explorer that is carrying out an all-sky near-infrared spectral survey.

Flexible Chitosan‐glycerol sensor integrated with porous laser‐induced graphene (LIG) electrodes enable room‐temperature chemiresistive detection of ammonia (NH3) and proof‐of‐concept detection of fish spoilage. ABSTRACT We report a metal‐free sensor platform combining laser induced graphene (LIG) electrodes with drop‐deposited, glycerol‐plasticized ...

Gravitational lensing in galaxy redshift surveys [PDF]
Gravitationally-lensed quasars should be discovered as a by-product of large galaxy redshift surveys, being discovered spectroscopically when a low-redshift galaxy exhibits high-redshift quasar emission lines. The number of lenses expected is higher than
